Thanks very much. It's booked in in 3 weeks. It's sounds like I have a rattle snake under the bonnet so I will be amazed if they don't fix it. The funny thing is that with mine it gets louder the warmer the engine gets.

My 2011 fabia 1.2 tsi is rattling away now as well after 8k miles. It is still relatively intermittent but getting worse. I am waiting until it is constant otherwise the dealer will just send me away for wasting his time. Warranty is running out in September and I want to get it fixed before. If they change the timing chain why wouldn't it do it again later? I have a 1.2 tsi yeti and that one is running quiet. Other than that it is a brilliant car.

Zilch. Nothing. I asked Skoda at my last service why it doesn't work and they just said that it is not a feature on this model. Just wondering if the solution is the radio or the Bluetooth module. Or who would know?

I have the left steering wheel control and the MFD control on the right hand wiper switch. The menu looks identical to the Yeti and the phone Bluetooth connection works the phone. It just doesn't display music as an option and the voice command for music doesn't work either. Would buying a Swing radio fix it or do I also need to buy a different Bluetooth module? Our Fabia is coming up to the end of its 3 year warranty. It is a manual 1.2TSI. Do you think it is worth buying the 2 years extended warranty? What are your thoughts?

Hi We have a 2011 Fabia (vanilla) and I can make phonecalls via bluetooth but I am unable to play music. The radio is the one with the storage tray/ previous version of the Swing Radio. Skoda confirmed that the Fabia can not play media via bluetooth. Would anyone know what bits I need to buy so I can enable music streaming via bluetooth? Do I have to upgrade the radio as well as the bluetooth unit? I have it on my Skoda Yeti and love it.... Thanks in advance
