  1. If they are fully removable, then that's a great way to make the car look sportier. They do have a great look with the kit fitted, so are the kits still available or is just what people have lurking in their garden shed!?
  2. I may have missed the boat as the post is almost a month old, but i'd definitely be interested in an aftermarket exhaust and possibly the anti roll bars. Would they drastically improve handling, or just essential if doing competitive stuff? Have you got any photos of the exhaust? Cheers
  3. Hi. These cars are quite sought after now and its reflecting in their value, but you probably know this. When it come to keeping original or modifying, that's a tough one. Ultimately down to personal taste, but i'd only make modifications that can be easily undone to return it to original. That way, you can put your own spin on it to make it unique and retain its resale value if someone is looking for an original car should you decide to sell it. That said, if its a bit tatty and not the finest example out there then have some fun with it and go nuts. Can you post some photos of the car, also where are you located?
  4. I have considered chopping out a few turns on the coils but thought this would be seen as butchery! Is it just accepted as a means to an end? I was concerned that lowering all over by the 35mm would still result in the car looking bit high at the front as it does when standard. However, the pictures that Skodanorman posted alleviate some of that worry because his looks really good. As it stands i'm not sure on the condition of the ones on there. If they look a bit tired then i'll definately be replacing them for the lowered type.
  5. Thanks all. I was considering paying the £12 for the membership. I tried editing my profile also but i didn't have much luck! I take it that would remove most of the limitations?
  6. Thanks for clarifying the difference Hawkeracing . Looks like i'll have to dig deeper in my pockets! The lowering makes a huge different based on the pictures you have posted Skodanorman. Your Rapid looks like a really clean example. Is there a way to private message on Briskoda? If so could you let me know where in West Wales you are? I would definitely be keen on meeting up in the near future, my aim is to really get stuck into the car this year! Cheers
  7. Looking for some advice please. I want to know if Skoda Favorit lowering springs will fit on a 1989 Rapid 136? With my Rapid being 89 is is probably one of the last made before they changed to the Favorit. Reason i'm asking is that Favorit springs on ebay are £75 and Estelle/Rapid are £135. Cheers
  8. Hi everyone. Had to re-register as i couldn't get my rwickham2001 user name to sign in. I have a 1989 Rapid 136. Just built a new garage and hoping to get stuck in this summer. I'm sure i will have plenty of questions for RWD enthusiasts. Any one like minded in the South Wales region?
