  1. Does the no overseas postage bit mean the arm rest is still available? If so I'd like it posted at asking price .
  2. Thanks for the responses - Damian when I figure out what I'm after I'll be in touch [emoji106] No fixed budget really - I'd like to spend as little as possible without buying tat. £400ish for suspension set up (excluding the RARB) seems to get me something reasonable? The Koni STR.T kit looks interesting and I guess a 20 mm drop is too small to present much of a problem when towing. Has anyone had any experience when them? Are the AP Coilovers at similar money any better/worse? I'll hopefully get some footage from the Ginetta up next time - I've been on 4 or 5 trackdays with it this year and managed to forget the GoPro each time (normally cause the car is in bits about an hour after I was scheduled to leave!)
  3. Hi, My Mk1 Octavia VRS (Babs' old car) has done just shy of 100k now and the suspension is starting to feel a little tired, more jarring over bumps than it used to be and when heavily laden it sits very low - I am pretty sure the rear shocks are knackered and the fronts aren't too far behind. I use the car for towing my track car so don't want a suspension drop, just want something a little fresher feeling and tidy up the handling a little. Can anyone recommend anything to suit? I was thinking of adding a Whiteline 24mm RARB and replacing shocks all round with Bilstein B4's - anything else I should be looking at?
  4. Hi all, Just noticed on my Mk1 Octavia VRS that when I put it in reverse, the reversing lights come on as they should until the clutch is disengaged and the car is actually moving backwards when they go off, as soon as I dip the clutch again they're fine. Bulbs obviously fine as I have light so long as the clutch is in. So I am guessing it is the reverse light switch, but just seems a little odd that the lights come on until the clutch is out. Anyone had a similar problem? I have had a towbar fitted recently, could this be a possible cause?
  5. Ehhh not sure where would be best - how about Morrisons car park? The small bit behind the petrol station is normally quiet.
  6. That shouldn't be too much of a problem - I can finish from half 12 on a Friday so I can meet you somewhere?
  7. It is indeed! Would you be available on Friday for me to have a look?
  8. Thanks for the quick response and information, all seems good to me, I am indeed in Cleveleys so if we could work something out that would be ideal. What time do you finish work if you don't mind me asking? I work near Blackburn but work fairly flexible hours so should be able to get home early one evening.
  9. I'm interested in this - could you answer a few questions for me... - Do you have any pictures of the interior? - Could you give a bit more detail about the cars service history (No. of stamps/most recent service)? - What condition are the tyres in? (Not bothered about down to the mm or anything - just if they need replacing imminently) - Is there any significant damage to the car or wheels? (Again, not bothered about minor stone chips/scratches) - Are the centre caps missing or just not fitted in the photos? Thanks, Matt
