  1. Does anyone know if adaptive cruise can be fitted on a second hand version or is this something that has to come on factory built car? I know it's an optional extra and not seen many with this on, and I'd sooner go for a car 6 month to a year old instead of paying brand new prices all for the adaptive cruise
  2. That will remain to be seen, I may get Skoda to look at it to see, would they be able to see if the actuator is on its way out our is it a case of once it goes bang you know, my 3 months warranty has been reset from today's date too so if it's as you say then would hopefully raise its head in that time frame
  3. So. Got the car back today. Spark plugs and leads changed. Car has ran totally fine since picking it up. No rattle when stationary and no stuttering in gear. Fingers crossed it stays that way
  4. Given the current trust levels of their work when they can't even give me proof the timing chain has been done I wouldn't hold out much hope this work would be done to the desired standard. Which is a shame because I think the car is great with regards to spec and performance. I'll put that to them and see how I get on with that. I won't hold out much hope
  5. Dealer principal called me today, told him I wanted to reject the car and get a refund back, he said they get 3 attempts to fix it, I told him I had consumer rights Infront of me and it stated one chance, he just said that it was wrong and it's actually 3. I asked where he got that info from and said its always been 3. Asked me to take the car back to the dealership which I said I'm not comfortable driving a car that's in limp mode 13 mile across the city. He then said he would arrange for it to be picked up and get me a courtesy car.. I again expressed my wanting to reject and refund which was brushed aside to "get the issue fixed first and extend my warranty" Almost in so many ways that it's not an option. I think I'll be going to citizens advice on this one
  6. I asked them for a copy of the invoice of from the "Skoda specialist" to which they said they didn't have one just yet but would forward me one when I got it But it also looks suspect that I got a call Wednesday from Evans halshaw saying the Skoda specialist had the parts, would be doing the work this week and it would be next week I get the car, then I get a call yesterday to say I can pick it up, upon collecting the car was covered in dust, like when it's been wet and dust covers it, but the dust was undisturbed on both windscreen and bonnet and the dust looked like it could of been on for some time as it was dried out. Windscreen wash was full too so that wasn't an excuse. But yeah it doesn't want to go above 30mph. I did mention that issue to them when I originally dropped the car from when you told me that the actuator and turbo could be an issue. Seems that's been overlooked. I highly doubt the chains even been done
  7. Took the car out, went into limp mode. This happened Glad I'm not going mad
  8. Its bad when driving.. admittedly it doesn't do it all the time but every journey it's done it and certainly alot on cold start ups and doesn't completely stop when warm. Most notably in second gear, and it's not just one or two jerks.. it's the full rev range. I'll try get a video of driving
  9. Something has been done, given my trust levels with them at the moment that could just be putting that black sealant in to seem something has been done I think because I mentioned the timing chain they've thought to shut me up just say they've done it.. I've never experienced this sort of thing in a car and not the most mechanically savvy so I'm stumped what it can be. I just find it coincidental that I get the call to say I can collect the car on the 30th day since purchase, whether they are thinking about after the 30 days is harder for me to return I don't know but consumer rights says whilst the car is with them the 30 day clock stops ticking on my side.
  10. Received the car back today, asked the lady in service for copy of invoice of work done, they said they have not yet received the invoice from the Skoda specialist, went out to the car, covered in dust, looks like it hasn't moved for over a week yet I got a call yesterday saying car is now ready to collect, drove the car off the forecourt the stuttering still there and just as bad, turned the car round went back into the dealership and said I wanted my money back as this is ridiculous, Told the dealer principal is back Monday and would call me... seems Evans halshaw are happy to use deceptive tactics.. I'm disgusted
  11. No it said se sport, it's manual and it has 6 gears though. Wonder why it's down as a 95 though
  12. Good evening, Recently taken delivery of our rapid see sport. On all the paperwork from the dealer it states it's a 110 ps. Insurance is due next week and started to look at quotes, upon putting the reg into the comparison site it comes up as the 95 ps. How do I find out what it actually is?
  13. I hear what you're saying. I've always filled up at shell, not the vpower just standard stuff. I'm bought in to the whole supermarket stuff is muck unfortunately. But would you say supermarkets premium fuel is decent fuel to put in?
  14. Maybe I'm getting confused, does the standard unit come with use of android auto or does this need the mirror link?
  15. I have ordered a rapid space back se sport, I collect it Friday, I asked if the mirror link for androids is standard and I was told it was, just looking at an ebrochure and it says it's just an Amundsen touch screen nav unit.
