  1. Hi, Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. It’s most noticeable on a cold morning. I drive up to 3rd or 4th gear, then when I lift off the accelerator, this strange rattle happens, stops when it shifts down a gear, then happens again before the gear changes down again. After a few miles (or it heats up) the noise goes away. It only happens after lifting off the throttle. It also seems to hold the car back a bit, like how you’d intentionally slow the car down using a manual transmission. It’s a 1.6L DSG. I had it in with Skoda, they changed the mechatronics but the noise is still there. I brought it back to them but they said all they can do is strip the gearbox and go looking for a problem which is something I can’t really afford at the moment, seeing as it’s already cost €1400 and the noise is still there. Any input would be very appreciated! Thanks
  2. I'm having the same problem, but if anything the revs seem to pick up a bit when I press the AC button. Going back to the dealer tomorrow, still under warranty fortunately. I'll report back with the cause
  3. Hi, just bought a second hand octavia mk2, 2010 reg. It's my first skoda. Loving it so far, coming from a Vectra
