Hey I have skoda octavia l&k sedan in India and I have to order the headlight bulbs as the old ones are not working now, but I dont the bulb type to order as there are many bulbs like h1 h7 available, can you guys please help me in identifying the correct bulb for the fog lamp, xenon projector and high beam as there are 3 types of fittings in the octy l&k headlight. Thanks

Hey This morning I was driving my car and suddenly a sound started like something got dettached. I stopped the car to check and found noting. Then again when I put a gear the gear went just fine but after that when I left the clutch. The car didnt moved. Now when a friend of mine towed the car from his own car and there was a sound in the car cabin from front axel I guess. maybe you guys can help me find out where the problem lies. And I also saw those levers move under the hood when I put a gear. Thanks

Yes putting up a new stalk solved my problem but these will not be delivered in India I guess..

So finally today I got the stalk assembly installed. But now the stalk which I have installed does not have the cruise control buttons. The auto parts dealer told me that it is not possible to get it here in India. So I asked the electrician to open the stalk which was damaged. I saw a plastic button type thing which was melted. There was no resemblence that could have fit in there so I'll have to wait untill I find that piece that can fit there.Already missing my awsome cruise control... :(

so now I'll have to find a mechanic that can do this on sunday. because that is the only day when I'll be free to get this job done.

Will the Electrician remove the steering or can he just check that connector without doing so?? Because I am a little busy in my office and if there is no need to remove the steering column then I can get it checked today only...

Today I went to a car electrical specialist.He told me the same thing . He also said that the replacement for this stalk with cruise control is impossible to find in India. So now I'll be searching for a skoda octavia l&k stalk . This car is now really getting on my viens. Every week it has a new problem with the maximum of expenditure possible..

But how can a partially charged battery lead lights to remain on even after the power is cut by removing the keys.

I drive a skoda octavia 2006 1.9 Tdi. From last two days the electronics are behaving strangely in my first. First I noticed the battery drain. Then I went to the battery dealer he told me that the amplifier of my music system is on even after the removal of keys so I decided to disconnect it. Then today the high beam hid are stuck to on even after the removal of keys. Now to battery is disconnected from the car. Any possible reasons for this behaviour guys???
