  1. I'll upload some photos directly, just have to reduce size and edits. For now.... https://www.flickr.com/photos/126273005@N06/14474086228/
  2. Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. It happens as you put it in to gear with light throttle. I took it to the dealers and the technician noticed it when he kept edging the car backwards and forwards while switching it from Drive to Reverse. Very light and short creaking sound. Got it booked in for check on 04th August
  3. Did you manage to sort things out?
  4. I'm havign the exact same problem on my Yeti. 1.2 Tsi FL 330 mils on the clock.
  5. Hello, I'll upload pictures of my new FL as soon as I can, sorry for being late! (This started at about one week old. I didn't notice anything like this at the beginning) I have a creaking or slight rattle which seems to unearth when you first put it in D. The moment when it initiates and starts to pull forward; there's a fairly noticeable creaking sound which can be heard inside and outside the car. It only seems to happen as the car pulls or, whether in D1 or in Reverse. I have heard it happen, with the bolero off, on higher ratios also like D2,3,4. Definitely most noticed on D1 and R though 1) Have any of you experienced this? 2) What do you reckon I should do to fix it? Just want to sound a bit more clued-up when I take it to the dealer. Thanks in advance. Liam
  6. Thankfully no, Colin. I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you've had that's just not on, I mean seeing those pictures - not good at all. I hope you manage to sort things out
  7. Our car arrived Yesterday and we will be collecting on Monday after Checks and a polish can't wait!
  8. Looking good! Definitely feel the city looks tidier on the front end. But that's just my opinion!
  9. You see I don't get the rave about the Nissan to drive. I too loved the new design and the cabins is absolutely fantastic for the price! Well above the yeti "feel" wise. The drive however was not impressive. I found the 1.5 dci engine intrusive and so much tyre/road noise. The gear changes and clutch didn't feel anywhere near as smooth as the yetis. Maybe paying more for the Tekna just reduces comfort I don't know. The Yeti won anyway. Second place definitly Mazda CX-5 or Hyundai ix35.
  10. Post more pictures when you can with your updates! New badges etc....
  11. Heard the yeti has average refinement, is his true? Understand the boxy shape probably doesn't help. Any tricks to lower the noise? Do you notice a big difference between he diesels and the petrol engines? Thanks!
  12. The best advice I can give, as usually, is to test it for your self. My opinion: I love driving, and I really enjoy being involved in shifting gears therefore I was going to go for manual no question for my order. Just out of sheer curiosity I tried the DSG box in the engine I wanted and that's it I'm simply converted! Let's be honest it's a massive toy, the DSG; but it works so well! And it really can be fun when you switch it in to "manual mode" anyway. I'm so happy with it and I'm SO GLAD on the decision to chose the DSG. Comfort when you need it, fun when you want it. As soon as I made my order I came home and dug around on here and other forums to see other peoples opinions. I've seen a pattern of posts among people who've gone for manual and tried the DSG later on and wished they went for it not realising how fantastic and fun it is. I wouldn't want anyone to regret things so try it out! If you still want that man/women-car experience then just get a Mazda mx5 for £1000 off of eBay. Sorted
  13. Great! Maybe post some pics on relative thread? Ours is build week 23 so just over two weeks away. How are you enjoying it? Is the diesel noisy or....
  14. On average yes I end up paying about £5 extra per fill for premium unleaded just for peace of mind.
  15. Worked it out the other day, it costs about £75 for 55 litres unleaded Ron 95 min... and you'll get around 450 miles at 38 MPG
  16. Your yeti looks great Steve! So are you enjoying it? Thought you were picking it up tomorrow?Loving the MX5, been looking for a great condition Mk1 for ages now. Like the mk2 but the first just has too much charm; maybe it's just the pop up lights though......... Probably the pop up lights. :p
  17. Both look great! Jungle green does look very good Some people think the L&K wheel are lover/hate - I personally really like them. Be sure to post more pics when bring her home
  18. Hope not! I'd be tearing my hair out waiting! Bet you probably were.... If that happens to me it'd be better I don't know as I can imagine my frustration! I'm not very good at waiting. So has your toy arrived? That's quite a long wait, ouch!
  19. Has your beast arrived yet then?
  20. Just called Skoda UK and have been given a provisional build week of Week 23 which is first week of June! Fantastic. Who knows it might be brought forward by a few weeks like some of your orders. Don't you just hate waiting........
  21. Considering the electric seat. Would it struggle then with the 1.2 tsi engine, which we are going for?
