I have a PID Garmin in my Citigo but I do not think it is as good as a Motorola TK bluetooth with all the add ons and a 7" all singing Sat nav .I have replaced the radio with a Blaupunkt bluetooth unit you can still use the PID but never find need to use it bit of a gimmick really in my opinion. The UK standard radio is a bit rubbish you have the choice of a slightly better radio with DAB 2 in Germany but his is not a patch on the Blaupunkt.

I think I would read the small print first plenty of people here in Germany have fallen into this trap and have lived to regret it not only with VAG.

If the bolts holding the wings on are painted its a sure sign its been resprayed.

I hope it works better in the UK its pretty useless here in mainland Europe.On a recent visit to the UK a DAB equipped car the DAB was pretty useless as well ok if you find a decent reception spot and stay there.

Its common all over the world a set standard easy to understand and gives figures that the layman can understand.

I think its to do with the way it was recorded,on mine half hour radio shows follow on and restart at the correct position but if I have recorded music one track after another it always goes to the beginning.

Its all water based colour and clear coat the fact that it does not disolve when it rains is because of the other parts of the formula. .Cellulose based paints and top coats have been banned in the auto industry for years.For some unknown reason (unknown to me)red is the worst colour it soon looses its colour.

Just out of interest why would you want to change I am sure you have a perfectly good reason.

Worrying too soon recognised it was in a Skoda and not a VW so put the appropriate logo on everything else works as normal,its a later Garmin unit as opposed to a Navigon unit whether that makes any difference I wouldn't no.

I am about to put my PID which I bought in 2012 for my Up and put it in my newish Citigo but for the live in me I cannot remember the password I used I think I will have problems.

I did but it seems not to have taken any notice.

It has a surprising effect in that it has a remarkable cooling effect but its quality of make is laughable. So I would say keep it if possible or do as many do in Germany make another out of proper aluminium.

A bird crapped on my white Up no matter what we did it left a mark a professional said that when they changed to water based paints it is essential that bird crap is removed immediately.

I have had two and not heard a noise from the clutch release bearing or the gearbox on either ,so I would say its not common with this gearbox at any age or mileage.

I had a think about this and did some measurements if a circuit is switched off no current flows ,I think what is being measured is a Can bus signal if this is so and a normal meter is being used then damage can occur as these use a battery in the circuit to measure volts etc.If the meter is used the wrong way round a plus voltage is generated in the minus side of the ECU which can cause untold damage .We use a no volt measuring meter as all good auto electricians should use.

No you are getting confused between current and voltage with the correct bulbs no current will flow.
