  1. Based on the opening times and Wednesday not being an option............ That's Loomies out the window!
  2. I also agree the Meon is the better location, As others have said we need to give them another go. The red lion for food is good, But not great for after dinner drives and stuff.
  3. Well I was not aware of any groups, plus I think we all know what David is like now..... that boy has little left to enlighten us with that would surprise me!
  4. One thing that might be a good idea, why not set up a Briskoda whatsapp group?... From what I know most people use whatsapp these days and it would save all the one line replies here, that way people can just jump in with thoughts and comments. Just an idea. Plus if Austen is the administrator he can control everyone! lol
  5. Or the other option is to utilize our special weapon in regards to " Venue management " ................ Unleash Austen upon them!!
  6. if we are feeling really brave we may stay out past 10pm!!!!
  7. Austen, Don't forget our deal remember?..... In return for taking you out in the Japanese cheese wedge you categorically said you would give it one of your wash and wax sessions? Let me know when I can drop it off....
  8. I'm in as always, And when I say in I mean in on attending this astute event...... not "in" in any other kind of way before the innuendo starts!
  9. Austen will put us all to shame regarding car cleanliness anyway, that boy has to much spare time!
  10. Austen, David and you having a candle light Sunday supper?.............. that ladies and gentlemen is your disturbing mental image of the afternoon right there!
  11. I will be there also, But cant leave home until the wife is back from work, Should be there around 7 - 7:30pm ish....
  12. the problem I see is longevity, all the little 1.0 engines have to be worked hard just to keep up with everyday driving hence the poor economy, Where as bigger more powerful units barely break a sweat in daily driving hence they can often match the economy. Back to longevity... Cant see many 1.0 ecoboost engines going much beyond 100k miles can you?? Where as the bigger Engines ( Honda 2.2 I-Dtec, VAG 1.9 & 2.0 TDi, etc etc ) often seen on auto trader with 150,175,200k Miles. See many 1.0 eco boost Mondeo Taxi's around?.................... I think not. Anyway, soon be Tuesday.................... oh yeah its tomorrow!!!
  13. He only had Pancakes because they ran out of Jelly.............
  14. I need to experience the might that is the Citigo VRS!! Also nice to see David eat an entire meal this time, Thought we where going to be reaching for the kid's menu at one point, Such a slender lad, maybe he keeps his weight down to increase the power to weight ratio when in the aforementioned Citigo???
  15. Allow another non Skoda owner be the first to reply to said posting from our now acting administrator, I shall indeed be in attendance once again!
  16. Yep she goes well Austen, triple figures soon pop up!!
  17. I should be along and have both Carista and Dashcommand so will be able to tell you what the light is on for and reset it if you want etc.
  18. don't care what anyone says, A V8 is one of the best sounds going, with straight pipes and a lazy tickover.........
  19. Yep I'm still in and on for this one, prob be nearer to 7:30 by the time I escape the kids! lol
  20. I shall pop down again, My head will be filled with supercars after going to the supercar event at Dunsfold Aerodrome the Sunday prior to this! http://thesupercarevent.com/ Its a cracking day out for anyone that's not been before....
  21. Ha tony!, To be fair Its my first Jap ( Well Swindon Really ) car so got to give it a go, Been in the VAG stable for nearly a decade so fancied a change more than anything. And Honda's 2.2 I-DTEC is a cracking engine and half the noise of a PD! And Yes believe it or not I am still under 40!
  22. Hey Gents, hope your all enjoying the weather, not been along since the departure of the VW Touran, I've turned Japanese these days! Anyways enjoy your meet!! :sun:
  23. I agree with booke23, Your OEM one should have managed a 100k minimum to be honest, my 1.9 is a BXE on 79k now and still on its original Turbo with no issues. Begs the question does this all come down to how people treat the Turbo, I'm not the original owner of this car I guess the same as yourself and yours Phil, Maybe a previous owner never allowed a few seconds for oil to lubricate the Turbo before starting off in the morning, then letting it idle for a few seconds before each switch off, All good practice as we know and do, But many people don't. I'm sure with the way you care for your car with oil changes etc, You'll be fine with the ECP one.
