  1. Well after much more messing around we discovered that the cause of the issue is the Volkswagen Connect dongle that vw connected up after a recent service. Maybe a nice freebie but money spent by my dad and lots of time lost by us both.
  2. We changed the 2 rear brake light bulbs yesterday and have now ordered a new BLS but any other suggestions would be of help.
  3. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I was wondering if anybody could help. Not had much luck on another forum and I think the B7 passat shares alot with the superb. My dad has a 2014 B7 Passat estate and the 3rd brake light is constantly lit up. We have removed all of the rear boot paneling looking for water ingress but haven't found any. When the boot is open the 3rd brake light goes out and brake lights function normally.I have my dads old Passat B6 Estate and we have swapped out the 3rd brake light but this also stays lit up when connected.Tonight whilst trying to find the Issue we got the 3rd brake light to work normally for a short amount of time by pressing, wobbling the brake pedal erratically, but then it soon returned.Possible brake light switch Issue maybe ???? We are struggling to find the issue.
  4. On the 8th September 2008 I hit all the 5's, Sunday a very similar pic 8 years on.
  5. When she past the mark and past clocks
  6. 152k now, Still going strong, FSH to. A couple of expensive MOT's over the last few years also.
  7. Glad you got it all sorted mate, get the new coils in then remove and sell, popping your purchased ones back in. Originals still go for a fair few quid on eBay. If in need again, don't hesitate to drop me a bell.
  8. Think Im going to go for this now on a 3+24 15k http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/skoda-yeti-personal-lease-4001-26-select-car-leasing-2450052
  9. I thought the sales approach was great and friendly on saturday.
  10. Cheers for all the advice, Think I'll give the car supermarkets a miss. Might have to put off the purchase a bit longer to get a bit more down payment and see what a main dealer can offer, But I will take a journey down to local skoda dealer the weekend to take a look. Might get more than £300 for my perfectly fine 150K vRS from Skoda to.
  11. So I took a look at this on Saturday and fell in love with it. http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/vehicleadvert/skoda/yeti%20outdoor/611280 Spec-wise its fine, big improvement over my vRS, I want the 2 wheel drive, I want the outdoor look, I want the high MPG, price I'm happy with, includes an extra years mechanical cover also............but the original plan was to get something bigger than my mk1 octavia vRS and this to me seems the same size seating wise and also reduce my fuel cost as I currently do 300-350 miles per week. 3 kids, 2 in boosters, 1 in car seat. Currently OH has to sit in the back middle to accommodate all of us.......but it's once a week we will clamber into mine or we go on a family trip. We do have a Y reg Picasso which is fine for the big days out to, but is a petrol and might be replaced in the next 12 months. Also I will be financing 70% of it and I'll be tied into it for 5 years in theory. Only got a part Ex price of £300 for my vRS. :(, so that will be sold privately. So undecided.........
  12. Thank you, been racking my mind all weekend and the easiest give away I take it is the Gear Knob.
  13. Simple one............are all Yeti Outdoors 4x4 ? or can you get the yeti and yeti outdoors in both variants ?
  14. My 2004 mk1 vrs hit 150k the weekend Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
  15. Tracking now done, Slightly wonky still, but a massive improvement with new spring. Tracking guys said shocks might be the cause. Happy bunny again.
  16. In the garage now having the other spring done. Hopefully I can get her tracked up correctly after.
  17. Spoken to garage this morning and they have checked the spring and it was a suitable replacement for a VRS. So I'm going to have the other side spring done and see if this solves my Issue. More expense again, Just had it serviced with the lower arms. Grrrrrrrrrr!
  18. I think I have my answer but wanted reassurance before I take action. I had new Lower Arms Wednesday of last week and took it to get the tracking done yesterday. The tracking guy said my car is leaning over to the right, he could adjust the tracking best he could, but looks like there is an Issue with the Lower Arms. I left without the tracking being adjusted. On returning home I remembered 2 months ago I had my nearside spring snap, not sure why I didn't think of it whilst I was getting the tracking done. Which was replaced. This may be the problem though, I only got the SNAPPED SPRING replaced. Now my car sits fine to the eye and fingers between rubber and arches, but If I'm right this is most likely cause of my car leaning to the right ?? 1 spring done 2K, 1 spring done 150K.
  19. I got all mine, full pads and disks from GSF £111
  20. I get through a litre a year the past few years. just gone over 149K. :(
