  1. Hello Everyone, Very quick question. I am visiting from overseas and I am trying to sort something out on my mothers 2010 Skoda Superb. Her Columbus head unit has seemingly developed the well documented Firmware back to native language issue and now suffers from incredibly limited to the point of zero functionality. I have spoken with one of the incredibly helpful gurus on this topic however timings look like I can't make this happen prior to my return overseas due to distances. Is there or are there any people able to do a firmware reinstallation and then maps install that are located in the Midlands? Clearly I am expecting to pay however its timings *(given the seasons etc) and my return flights back home that is the issue. Thank you in advance WB
  2. If you don't have anything already fitted then this is a really good little unit Parrot MKi9200, but it completely depends upon what you are wanting it to do. If it is just taking / making calls and listening to music then this is spot on. You could however pay less and not get the screen etc. Personally for the money, and seeing how easily it performs etc I think its a good return on the money. Shop around though, especially if you are going to pay for fitting! Prices are varied out there. Again, I don't work for this company or have anything to do with them. My recommendation comes from fitting one in the Mrs (ex now :( ) Fiat 500 and she loved it. It must have been good because she just got on with it and never had any problems with it! Hope this helps. 3. Hello Everyone, Right then, I have read this thread twice now - yep all 11 pages of it in all its glory! So where am I on all of this. I am new to Skoda's so be nice (please), after taking delivery of a used 2010 Superb estate 2.0 (170) - WOW!! As a starter for 10! When testing it out I checked the BT with my phone which didn't work (Samsung Galaxy Note II running Android 4.4custom ROM). Quick google search later and I found this website / forum. All good so far. I read this post page to page and it seems to be very centric on swapping out the module under the passenger front seat for something that is more up to date - again all good, should I choose to go down this route. What I have done, if it is helpful to others (I see a couple of posts above asking this sort of thing) is used this application via the Google Play Store to get the Galaxy Note II working in handsfree mode - rSAP Bluetooth Sim Access (android-rsap.com) nb I have nothing to do with the company or person I am a paying customer of theirs. I will also be trying out the Bluetooth Phone Book solution that can also be found on the website as the phonebook only seems to have copied over limited numbers of my phones contacts, even though I changed the source location etc. What I can't fathom out right now is how to stream music from my phone to the Columbus system. I am sure that it is mentioned in the multitude of posts within the 11 pages however if someone can spare me the sift again that would be appreciated. I will check the serial numbers of the module under the passenger seat today but right now I am happy that I managed to get a bluetooth connection! Great forum by the way - far better than some others that I have been on / used for other manufactures vehicles that I have owned. Cheers in advance. WB
  4. G'day everyone, So, I am now the proud, NO, VERY Proud owner of a 2010 Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 (170). WOW, what a great bit of kit! I traded into this via a long and boring story but ultimately I went from L200 Barbarian, to a Toyota Prius (owned for 3 weeks ) then got rid of that for this! DONT ASK!!!! I have got to say that this car is fantastic and I only collected it today. Brilliant bit of kit, fully loaded, outrageously comfortable to drive and will be with me all things being equal for quite some time! I may well be pinging a couple of technical questions to some of the more knowledgeable of you out there specifically about the entertainment system and Bluetooth, I have read through the lengthy thread but may need some guidance. Anyway, for now.......Wow, Great motor and I am so glad that I took the plunge and ignored all the 'banter' about buying the Skoda! all the best WB
