Seems like a pretty normal business model to me. Car companies expect people to replace their cars after 3 years too even though they don't explode after 2 years and 365 days. If everyone replaced their stuff after a much longer period of time than expected, then tech would likely be much more expensive than it is now and probably not as advanced.

Rotated them because I would consider this a good purchase assuming it's not actually in upside-down condition

Sometimes lately when I've engaged a gear and I'm moving along, sometimes recently the car just "ignores" my throttle input in terms of speed but keeps revving if I keep pressing the accelerator. If I don't put the clutch or touch the accelerator in then the car just stalls once the revs drop. Even in first gear which normally just drives along with no throttle input the car just stalls. Is this the clutch "slipping"? Never had these issues before so I'm a little confused. It's done it quite a few times now, and has left me in the middle of a busy roundabout which was quite unpleasant so I'd like to get this resolved.

Sounds good to me as long as it isn't wet+miserable!

Just drove back from Cardiff and the weather was utterly terrible anyway. I don't fancy standing in the pouring rain looking at some wet skodas

I think the thing that makes me hesitant is that last time I went, only 2 other people actually turned up.

One side has a complete **** living there. His family still owes me money for work I did last year. Every time he speaks it sounds like he has a bloody megaphone attached to his face and he constantly blocks our shared alleyway with his useless **** even though it's access only, not for storage. He's also extremely arrogant and condescending. Can't stand him, and wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. The other side keep themselves to themselves and I've never had any issues with them. 10/10

Was just about to say the same thing. When I was looking about they seemed to be recommended heavily by people on many, many different car forums.

That's an average speed of 0.2380 mph. "Giant tortoises move very slowly on dry land, at only 0.17 mph." Any slower and you should just send it via giant tortoise next time.

Whatsapp is awesome for calling people in other countries for free (in a similar fashion to skype). I've noticed that whatsapp maintains the call quality alot more than skype though.

I used blackcircles for mine. They were a decent price once I entered a discount code I found online. Edit: I didn't use their fitting option though, only supply.

I don't need winter tyres because I am so awesome thread
mccarf replied to FUBAR's topic in General Automotive Chat
The most damage I've ever caused to my car in 8 years of driving (because of winter) is a £30 part after I smashed my wheel into a kerb once in the snow. I cannot possibly buy 8 years worth of winter tyres for £30 = PROFIT -

ADVICE ON BUYING A SKODA OCTAVIA FL VRS CR DIESEL
mccarf replied to kiko1's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Is there much point? Seems you're going to pay alot of money for a side step from what you have now. -
Good choice! As you say, I don't think you can do much better for ~£100

After doing some reading I decided to use the official gatwick parking rather than third party company. Went pretty well. I parked about as close as you can get a car to the terminal I was in and they only drove it from the place I parked to a space about 20-30 metres away (checked the mileage). I'll be using heathrow official parking soon, but I'll take my keys with me for that one. After watching a documentary on TV about some of these dodgy airport car parking companies I don't think I'd go with anyone else beside the official ones personally.
