Kamiq Ambition + Admunsen Road Sign Recognition ?
Stevie D replied to Pietro62's topic in Škoda Kamiq
Mine is the same - just has signs found in the gps navi maps. I've tried to enable the function with vcds using some of the guides for other vag recent mbq based vehicles as a guide, however I can't get the camera adaptations to code correctly, but was able to have the option available on the settings screen, and now an error message on the virtual cockpit telling me here's an error - until I do more research or disable the option again, I've found some info elsewhere on the internet relating to vw & skoda using a camera with limited software. -
My new Kamiq came with the full led option - its includes front dynamic indicators - same as the back, cornering fogs, and dynamic range etc changes to your style of driving, haven't had too much time to test yet as its still summertime, but the full beam is amazing even compared to xenon full package on my old octavia - would assume Scala will be very similar as on same platform ?

press the microphone button on the android auto touchscreen - don't think it works from steering wheel.

The heads on the 2.0 16V CFHC series engines don't experience the same injector wear and tear as the PD engines, so my monies on the high pressure pump - had a habit of doing the same on PD engines.... The PD unit could be rebuilt with a kit - not sure about the later generation units. White smoke is usually unburnt diesel - could possibly be from a bad injector perhaps dribbling excess fuel, not really sure how the dpf regen process adds the extra fuel, or it can get back to the sump, the dpf is higher so I suppose gravity is a possibility, mine stank to the high heavens when in regen...

New Clutch..it's 4x4...so twice the labour
Stevie D replied to harryrope's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
It all comes out easy but isn't as simple to get back in again, transfer box can stay on the box (it's rally awkward to put back again with it all in position), but yes there's some extra dismantling to get it back in again in one piece, from memory dropped the n/s wishbone and a few bits around there - it's tighter but the entire sub frame doesn't need to come out - but the large aluminum bit with the dog bone mount does, just disconnect the prop shaft and exhaust and let them hang - x2 labour is a scare tactic. -
Presume VCDS may activate this option?

I've a 16 x 6 1/2" steel spare now fitted with the correct 215/45/16 tyre in our new colour edition Fabia lll - had it left over from a mk4 golf gti, yes the foam insert raises the boot floor marginally but not too much. Dealer wanted £160 for one that wasn't the correct size ....

All sorted & only cost £1 to upgrade to the v2 10 chassis number version - happy days!

Cheapest Scout on Autotrader
Stevie D replied to silver1011's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Just sold my 2011 scout for similar money with almost 200k and failed egr. It was a good car tbh and sild with issues as spares or repair, as I'm sure this one could be! Hope the fabia will be as good! -
Anyone added any of the monte carlo body kit parts to a facelift model (2020 model)? I've ordered the rear spoiler and am considering the rear diffuser and perhaps front splitter to jazz up the new colour edition! Question is how does the diffuser fit to the rear bumper - I'm assuming the part bolts to the bottom and is bonded to the top (hiding the boxy / square bit on then lower edge? Thanks

Goodbye Octy ll - Hello Fabia lll
Stevie D replied to Stevie D's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
Cheers Polar that's reassuring to hear! We originally went to look at a 2017 MC in meteor grey, but the £ deal was much better on the new Colour edition. I've bought a few bits like a rear spoiler to help the look of it lol... I've still got the Transporter T5 LWB Kombi so the mrs will drive the Fabia 70% of the time, her thought's exactly on maneuverability, parking etc, the van can be used for big stuff and camping / holidays etc. The Colour edition has slightly taller tyres I believe at 215/45 16, so hopefully a bit better on the potholes - we've lots of them too...
