  1. On the link - Overstretched tires. Yes dangerous. That one in the picture is not too bad. Ive got 205/40's on an 8.5J wheel just so it clears the arches and never had any issues. I like it, but each to their own as we always say.
  2. Helper springs out and Bump stops cut in half. Adjuster cups out of the rear now as well.
  3. Ive got FK's on mine, Puma drop links, rear adjusters out and bump stops cut in half. Ride is OK but still bumpy. You get used to it after a while. Handling is ok for fast road driving, even with mine wound all the way down. Get a few knocks and bangs (think its drive shaft hitting the frame, and wheels catching arches) but nothing all still working fine. https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/fabia/fk-ak-street-coilover-suspension-kitfabia-5j-12-12t-si-14-vrs-14t-si-14tdi-16-16tdi-19tdi-0307
  4. I Like it Sounds quieter than mine. I would go for a sports cat to avoid the engine management having a fit as i think they have a pre and post car sensor. correct me if I'm wrong. Saying that you would probably be able to get the sensors mapped out.
  5. I had the centre silencer cut out first, was a nice little noise increase, not too loud. Taking the back box off made it a lot louder. more pops and bangs, DSG "Farts" on every change. So yes, quite a difference.
  6. Cheers everyone, Im more than happy with it especially for the price compared to the ones exhaust companies are producing. I dont really notice the motorway noise, music can cover that up, or just shout a bit louder if you have people in the back :P
  7. So I've noticed a few people asking about exhausts, the options are pretty limited out there as there are still not that many companies who tune the mk2 VRS. There was no way I was spending £1700 miltek were asking so I thought i'd see what could be done DIY style. I know they might not be to everyones taste but I love the sound of my car now. I found it very muted at first, could barely hear the engine/ Exhaust over the road noise. I've had the center section done for a while now. Sounds good and i'd definitely recommend it for everyone. Total of £40 for parts and a mate to weld it in place. / I've now went a step further and removed the back box as well. It does still have a Cat in though so no flames just yet: It is loud and perhaps not for those who want a peaceful drive. £30 for a length of stainless pipe from eBay. and £12 for a twin exit tip also from eBay. Pro's: Cheap Sounds more aggressive DSG gear change bangs  Looks standard Feels faster but I think this is just because it sounds like its going faster. Never had it on the rollers so I would never know. Cons: Drone at motorway speeds Little bit anti-social Quite loud (especially on cold start, but again doesn't bother me) All in all, for around £80, its one of the best things i've done.
  8. Now with Smoothed front bumper and 312 S3 brakes fitted.
  9. haha yeah i really should of. Ive kept the old wheels just for when i sell the car, i don't do the whole winter wheels thing. Just put wheels on and leave them on, until i get some new ones again. The new ones have a good few layers of Carbon Collective Wheel sealant on so they don't tend to get that dirty.
  10. Had a good blast around Derwent water at the weekend. My home made £40 exhaust made out of some pipe was making some good noise - centre silencer delete, and back box delete.
  11. I made the mistake of waiting a while before getting my tracking and alignment done after lowering mine. Resulted in this from brand new to cord in about a month. oops :P New wheels and tyres fitted now, tracking done correctly, all fine!
  12. I had the same issue, Booked in with a dealer who confirmed the fault. Replaced DSG clutch pack. all is resolved (and covered by warranty)
  13. FK coilovers, Front bumpstops out Helper springs out
  14. MTEC 100Watt bulbs, so much brighter than standard, without the yellow or blue tint that some have. Maybe slightly higher wattage than usual but haven't skipped a beat yet, and haven't been told off.
  15. Name: Ross Age: 24 Location: Durham Car: MK2 Fabia VRS Year: 2012 Colour: Candy White & Black magic & black pack Currently: Lowered on FK coilovers (helper springs and Bump stops out) uprated bulbs all round de-res center exhaust. de-badged rear Still to come: new wheels (Refurbing at the minute, polished dishie goodness) camber shims Smoothed front plate recess Gloss black wrap part of front bumper de-wiper rear Pressed plates front splitter exhaust air intake and probably more... when I win the lottery.
  16. Didn't work for mine... Dipstick down to half in 500 miles. going back in on friday for final solution... new engine.
