My lights stay on even in the off position while driving but go off when i exit the car and lock it anyone any ideas please this is really annoying

Is it handy to do glow plugs on Octavia 1.9 tdi? Thank you in advance

No that didn't work any other ideas , I tried locking the steering wheel both ways and restarted the car and no joy and unfortunately I hadn't got a clue about the link it was all double Dutch to me lol thanks in advance jason

I had to change the clocks in my car and also changed the ecu to work with the clocks but couldn't start the car due to immobiliser kicking in so I figure I have the get the clocks reprogrammed so put the old clock and ecu bk in but then got power steering light amber and heavy steering , plugged in vag 305 to try do diagnostic but showing no fault , anybody got any ideas as I'm totally bewildered at the moment thank you in advance.
