My name is Terry, and I've just taken possession (on behalf of my employers!) of a new Octavia RS Combi TSi DSG. This is replacing a B6 Passat TDi DSG Variant that I've been driving for the past 4 years and 175000km, I was swayed by the great spec list of the RS, and the promise of a perky GTi motor in a sensible family-moving wagon. It also looks much sexier than my Passat, although I have to say that this has been a super long distance open road drive. I am also very much enamoured of my wife's Mk VII Golf TSi and fancied a bigger faster version of that.
So far so good, although as delivered the stupid sound generator has been left turned up to "11" and sounds awful in sport and just OK in normal, so the dealer is sorting that in the morning. I will ask for it to be turned right off as I'd much rather listen to music.
