You can on some of the radios get the serial number from the radios measured value channel 81. Saves taking the radio out to find out

If you get this fault again, remove the drivers door panel and check the motor and wiring to the window motor for corrosion. I have seen a few faults like this on OCT 1 vehicles -
No more options are available on a Fabia dash panel no matter what you do! Other settings for example seat belt warning, door open warning etc are done via coding of the dash panel on a VAS machine at a dealer or VAG com if you know what your doing. If the coding where wrong the light would never work. Seat belt warning does not come as standard on Fabia's either, you would have to check it on the build data. Any dealer can tell you the exact spec from the chassis number

What do you mean by I don't subscribe? By purchasing a new vehicle you automaticly receive the Skoda assistance policy you don't need to subscribe.

The factory rear parking aid does have the function to update its parameters, This is what is done during any workshop visit to a Skoda dealer when needed.

The airbag cover comes complete with the airbag. I wouldn't suggest trying to do anything other than take it to the dealer. I have seen this on a few Fabia II

I have found in the past that the lever cover slips up the hand brake. This stops it from racheting. Just push the cover back down and all is OK.

could the clutch have not gone ?

I would say that the pedal had broken at the end. This noramly breaks the master cylinder by bending the rod. I would of thought you will need a new master cylinder and pedal. HTH Mart -

Well I havent been on here for a while (to say the least!!) I have been having thoughts about a new project car to work on in the future. For me a Skoda would make sense but Ive never been inspired looks wise TBH. I have just recently seen the prices of old shape Fabia are low and I quite fancy putting a 20Vt in one. Then coming on her for inspiration for bodywork and seeing a Fabia vrs with some Mk1 Octavia vrs looks cool Anyway when looking I noticed some very easily sorted problems and it seems cruel not to help. So here I am lol

I have been in 2 minds if its a good idea to post or not. Dont ask why though

The glow plug light will NOT flash if 1 bulb is blown. It MIGHT flash if All brake light bulbs go It WILL flash if a fault is logged for the brake light switch On some models when both left and right brake light bulbs fail the centre brake light can illuminate 1 LED at either end even when the brake isn't applied.
