  1. Is the Sunday confined to Skuds only? I sold the VRS but could still bring either the Elise or M3 Evo...
  2. Hi Colin, back from France this morning and glad you're pleased with the old girl! Just tell them all on here that I took the 'eyebrows' off within 24 hours of them being fitted! Urrgh! When I complained to Superchips about the odd hesitation in power delivery they offered to put it on their rollers at HQ and tweek it, I just never got around to it as I think they are in Buckinghamshire and (as you know) everywhere is a long way from Cornwall! It still pulls like a train and has seen off the odd Porsche Boxter or two on the road and a basic Elise on a standing 1/4 mile although I have to admit his reactions were a bit slow! My purchase of the ex-management Superb fell through when the dealer and I rejected the car! When it arrived from Skud HQ it had been loaned to a car mag who had abused it somewhat. They have provided me with another car pending finding a suitable replacement. 2.5 V6 Tdi... smooth! Have a good Christmas guys and thanks for some entertaining reading whilst a member of the elite VRS club! :drive:
  3. 97/100... and its currently for sale as I'm looking at a V6 Super B
  4. I have an unliveried white WRC (the other one of 2?) It has full Rally edition spec, with the Xenons, headlamp washers, heated seats, etc... it goes not have green bumpers or green rear door handles (the only non-decal bits on the Rally car)
  5. I spoke to Superchumps again and although the guy was a little off-hand "you've changed the exhaust so you can't really compare it now". He did offer to put the car on their rolling road in Buckingham and see what was happening. He also suggested that I contact the garage that fitted it but, as they don't have RR, I don't see what they can do. I know that there isn't a reliable RR anywhere in Cornwall as the Lotus Elise group that I run down here has been unable to find one. :(
  6. Chrish, They have tapped a socket into the cat rep pipe into which the lambda are screwed, just as they are into the cat. Torque is now awesome, you can spin the wheels in 2nd quite easily in the dry! Let me know how you fare with Superchumps!
  7. Dave, No problems at all. The lambda sensors are still in the system so they are just sending different data to the ECU. Crish, Sure why don't you give him a call. To be perfectly honest unless they do something if there's anyone with an vRS wanting a superchip I would happily offload mine right now and go for the Jabbasport. I have been seriously unimpressed with their attitude to date when confronted with data challenging the claims of their website. Cheers Nick
  8. Down in the depths of Cornwall it was much easier to have it all done locally with a lifetime guarantee rather than mail order something, have it fitted and when problems arise the fitter blames the manuacturer and vice versa.
  9. I have just collected my vRS from having a new back box and a cat replacement pipe fitted. All that I can say is WOW! The improvement in torque is amazing and it now sounds like it means business too! The work was done by a local Powerflow agent who fabricated the pipes on the car, taking about 3 hours in total. The cat section can be quickly replaced when I sell the car or it needs an MOT, the lambda sensor simply screws into both cat and the replacement pipe. Cost was
  10. All that I did was change the head unit and autochanger, fit a decent JBL amp and 10" sub. (Doesn't have to be MaxPower! to appreciate what genuine and subtle bass can do for the overall sound) If you disconnect the nasty little speakers in the rear doors the sound is excellent and only spending about
  11. Jeez how difficult is this guys? Its NOT a WRC vRS, I know 'cos I have 97/100. Mine did not (and does not) have the decals fitted and the back bumper and door handles are white not green! The car I'm talking about is a bog standard vRS in white! no xenons, no heated seats, it has silver wheels and the back bumper and door handles are white not green! As regards the vRS, the decals were not all fitted at the factory, in at least one other case that I'm aware of they arrived separately at the dealers who were billed about
