From the manual: "Periodic wiping is dependent on the driving speed. The faster the driver is going, the more frequent the wiper action." This won't be the case on cars with auto wipers and/or the switch on the top of the stalk, but is otherwise.

Updating the PID has made the Bluetooth worse for me on 2 occasions, although there is usually an another update soon after to fix those problems. With the most recent update I'd say my Bluetooth isn't as good as it was previously, so keep checking back and you might find a later update fixes it.

It must be integrated now. I read a group test that included the VW Up in a recent Top Gear issue and they pointed the feature out with a photo of the radio display showing DAB and Absolute playing.

I would say you should plug it in every now and then to get the firmware/software updates, they will fix any problems. For example, my PID wouldn't read my phone's texts until after an update. They can also make the Bluetooth perform a bit better too. I guess it depends if you rely on it at all though.

Agreed, my mpg has dropped from 56 to 49 with all of the cold weather.

Seems like the Monte is still based on the SE as well - no electric mirrors or heated seats according to the book. Definitely keeping my Sport.
