Hi, all sorted now. Evap temp sensor was giving incorrect info causing the evaporator to freeze. 26 quid from skoda and a 30 minute job. cheers Keith

Hi folks, My car has been checked by an air con expert and been in the skoda garage for 2 days with no joy. Thanks to google and my presistence i saw an article that suggested the evaporator may be freezing due to incorrect information coming form the evap temp sensor. The symptoms being the air con worked at start up but after a period all air flow stopped. So i changed the sensor myself, 30 minute job and 26 quid from skoda. My aircon is now fuly working again. Whoop whoop. cheers Keith

Hi, i have a ocatvia mk2, its a 2007 plate with climatic control. Its been playing up for about a year. In auto mode , initially after 45 mins or so the air stopped coming out the vents, the fan was still running just nothing coming out anywhere, even if you manually opted for a direction, you got heehaw. More recently that has changed to about 30 mins running time before it gives up. If I turn it off for about 5 mins it will start working again. I have discovered that if you select the econ button it works fine, albeit with no air con. Its been into skoda for 2 days and i got it back washed, hoovered and told that it was working fine! Does anybody have any idea what wrong with it?
