  1. now i know for a fact that my fab doesn't justify that hahaha! what i was thinking on doing is wrapping the lower half of the boot lid in a matte dark grey? from below the body line? i have seen similar things done on audi A1's but i'm unsure if it would look right...
  2. arite everyone, looking for some inspiration for something different to do to the rear end of my black magic 04 VRS, i've got pressed plates on the way with blank plastic surrounds that were included free, might put some stickers along the bottom of these but i'm unsure. it's dewipered, rear windows are tinted, i've removed the FABIA badge but left the VRS badge and have mudflaps, just trying to think of something to kinda brighten it up a bit, never really been a big fan of loads of stickers or anything but always open to suggestions! let's see some pics of what you are running on yours?
  3. hi there, yeah i mean the slam panel! my FMIC i purchased has small rubber washers attached to the brackets yeah
  4. Not to resurrect an old thread but... i need to resurrect it to ask a question! the part where you start trimming the black plastic cowling to fit the FMIC BEHIND it, is this the way it's always done? as far as i was aware the FMIC was mounted in-front of it? can someone correct me if i'm wrong? the way i read it is that you did this through choice to make it look a little more stealth, am i correct? so this step could be missed out if not fussed about the stealth look but it would infact mean you'd probably have to do more chopping of the crash bar or put on a crash bar from an ibiza? cheers, Fraser!
  5. Hi folks, sorry to hijack the thread Hut has anyone got links to buy rear flaps online? Can't find rears anywhere! Cheers
  6. Hi All, my Vrs has 57k on it and when idling sitting still the front wheels seem to vibrate front and back, it makes a worn bearing noise at speeds above 40mph... is the vibration a common thing? on the bearning noise side of things i can't identify a worn bearing as all wheels feel fine, also it had a new wheel bearing for the MOT middle of July this year, any ideas much appreciated... thanks. it's an 07 plate incase the 'SE' part of the title gets missed
  7. ah right fair enough, i thought as much, it was an old woman driving... must of bought it that way, was strange how it looked completely standard though!
  8. Hi All, spotted a metallic burgundy mk1 estate in my local town, huntly, up beside Aberdeen, and had a bit of a double take! the car was the perfect example of a completely standard mk1 VRS in estate form, VRS bumper in the right colours, VRS wheels in bog standard silver, VRS grill/ badges, VRS cloth interior, badges on the back, i didn't get a glance of the rear bumper so i don't know what it was like, it's either a very very convincing rep or have i missed that there was an estate too?? - Fraser
  9. i'm in the process of paying £5000 for number 892, full years MOT and new brakes all round and service, only got 56k on it, then again i'm buying from my girlfriends granda, so much cheapness (y)
