Dtuk tuning box settings
kopparberg replied to Da21982's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
You could always try phoning andrew or t Internet toni and have your thoughts answered. -
Don't look at my brake lights if you don't want to be dazzled, as for full beaming me I'd just slow to a crawl, that usually does the job lol.
-
Id personally go with the vrs set up, the vw set up may not be as harsh but i prefer feel than softness, it's gonna end up a similar price so the choice is yours really

Diesels produce more carbon but 1200 quid for a glorified filter is a joke, it's like saying gut me or drive in a certain style or you'll face a 1200 quid bill at some point, only one winner there.
-
It was the same with catalytic converters and folk who wanted more power just removed them(including myself) and then put them back on come mot time.
-
dpf delete will give better flow through the exhaust but you won't see much difference in power, coupled with a map and you'll see a marked improvement, if you're going down this route you might consider an egr delete also.

kopparberg replied to mtl's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Why would you want to and I'd be surprised if they fit on the front. -
Ohh dear, still i bet it's a nice drive, never had a benz myself so enjoy yourself and burn that rental rubber.
-
Lol "are you watching the road Richard" sunday drivers everywhere unfortunately.

I always thought it was common sense to stick to the left of these sorts of roads if you're not pushing on, anyone that doesn't is not being very observant in my view.

Replace stock speakers
kopparberg replied to kristianRS's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I've been thinking about this also as i wasted £300 on the upgraded speakers which are frankly poo and a lot worse than the standard six speaker set up in my last car, I'm considering renewing the four base speakers with focals and getting the ibus sub and soundproofing for the doors which is what I should have done to start with. -

kopparberg replied to Superskoda's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I've had a few quotes for with and without the map and it's not too steep so no worries for there for me. -

Nah just gonna wait it out for the sts, i prefer the map on a file that actually uploads to the ecu. -

Dtuk was originally my first choice but having read some mixed comments I'm not so sure, shame as it's only a 20min drive. -

kopparberg replied to Superskoda's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Think I'm gonna go with shark as I've yet to see 1 bad review or comment regarding their work, shame i have to wait until the sts is available for my car though. -
Vtec engine's were designed to be hammered, i think that says everything.

Vauxhall lifetime warranty no more.
kopparberg replied to meta55b's topic in General Automotive Chat
Also you just had to look at the cheap plastic wrong and it was marked for life, also i did lots of motorway miles but still had dpf issues, by the way I'm sorry but when vauxhalls are mentioned i feel the need to rant . -
Vauxhall lifetime warranty no more.
kopparberg replied to meta55b's topic in General Automotive Chat
Also i think that warranty was only valid for the first owner, i had a company insignia and it was so nasty it hurt my eyes and ears after only 6 months and was relieved to give it back, the build quality was truly shocking. -
Don't know if you wear jeans but a lot of them have metal press studs on the back pockets, it maybe that you've been catching it as it's pretty unavoidable when getting in and out.
