  1. Hi all thanks for your comments The Skoda dealership said that it's to bring my attention to a warning which was that I need an oil change in 700 miles. I'm not obsolutly convinced but I will be this so having oil service next month and we will see! I will keep you posted if it isn't cleared by oil change.
  2. The power steering appears to be working fine it switches to sport mode with more resistance and back to normal. i have noticed some noise on full lock but that could be normal behaviour
  3. The power steering appears to be working fine it switches to sport mode giving more resistance and back to normal again ok? i have noticed some noise sometimes on full lock but that could be normal behaviour? I was unable to obtain further info when I pressed the left info button?
  4. I have a warning symbol in the vehicle status screen showing steering column, righthand wheelarch and maybe a small object near the baulkhead under the bonnet. Any ideas what this is for I cannot find it in owners manual
  5. I have a 2014 mk3 2.0d estate 4x4. I travel from WGC Herts to Cromer Norfolk 240 miles round trip mix of motorway and fairly fast A roads every other weekend, also frequent 22 mile round trip up the A1. I am getting consistent 46 - 47 mpg on computer for both trip (averaged), since last fill (actual) and total MPG (actual) for 2k miles the car has done. That is with lane 3 cruising not slowing anyone else down and keeping fairly close to 60mph on A roads. I will let you know how mileage improves once the engine has loosened up. The MK3 Octavia has the Haldex 5 4x4 system which is much lighter than Mk2 Haldex 4 and H5 only drives front wheels until just as you need 4x4. It is the additional weight which has the biggest impact on consumption.
