  1. well worth the change VRS should of had this set up...thanks
  2. Good Evening All Just want to say thank you to everyone that' has helped over the last 4 years with help and advice.. I finally decide to sell my beloved VRS wanting 300bhp and 4wd that the octy should of had from the start.. Skoda annoyingly dont offer what I wanted, and after looking at many cars Audi S3 sportsback, Focus RS and Mercedes A45 I went for a MK7.5R Golf R estate and what a beast best all rounder and reviews are great. Also has a few extra that I wanted.. Absolutely loving it although my wife thinks it too fast but my 2 year old eggs me on haha I will still keep in touch with forum never know might be back one day.. Thanks Guys
  3. Evening guys and happy New year. I'm looking at treating myself to a mk3 Octavia VRS and was after some advice. I currently have a MK2 VRS Cr which me and my wife absolutely love it has been mapped with dsg.. I'm now wanting to go back to petrol due to currently changes that are going to happen over the next years plus more power.. . so what do I need to look at for?? I'm wanting an petrol estate with DSG any must have extra? also I'm wanting to make sure I get a model with the e diff is that only avaible on the VRS230 that they brought out or is it on all models with that power.. I also see then 2017 model has 240bhp is that correct also e diff?? does any have a sports exhaust as standard? sorry for alot of question thanks in advance. Kelby 000
  4. you be talking easily 1000 pound 9f not more for only 10-20 bhp rather remove it with a plain pipe or get a spare dpf odd scrap one
  5. Thanks mate it does look great visually how I want it.. Keep thinking dropping it 30mm on some decent springs h&r... But don't want to loose the ride or ground clearance as it's a expensive splitter my Mrs already smashed it off once with a dead badger...haha.. I went revo as I wanted an aggressive punch as doing research they say revo is more aggressive than shark etc.. insurance wise didn't make any difference for me not that was noticable. Thank you aswel glad people like it must be doing something right... I did about year ago but no really responded well deciding whether more power or new car but if it's new car then I can't decide what... MOT side of things im not too concerned about as I'm in the trade and can get my MOT,s done no problem but I hate black smoke... I've always said the car deserves more power from the start... at least standard 200bhp and maybe a R32 version 4WD.... If I did a DPF delete I would do it properly and see of you can get a replacement part that i can put back if needed but I need to look at the system to see how it is and what's avaible.. I appreciate the advice mate
  6. that's good to know as o hate the black smoke my pet hate.. do you know what power you were producing? I have the DSG map as I did that with my engine map to be safe.. good to wait for the 25% off like I did great saving
  7. Yeah well that's sort of my question I suppose or whether people have removed there dpf to get more power are they getting mountains of black smoke... As I've been reading they say if it's done properly shouldn't get any... 230bhp isn't a bad amount at all for a diesel mine stage 1 so should be about 200-210bhp from revo stage 1
  8. Evening guys Have posted on here for awhile but I'm after some advice... I have 2011 HRS 2.0 diesel.. I've been looking at trading her in but I can't find many thing I want as I have a daughter now and it practical.. 280bhp Superb, Golf R estate ive been looking at but i love my VRS and I don't want to let it go... So I'm after some more power to keep me happy it's already revo stage 1 and dsg stage 1.. which is good fun with good power but is there anyone out there who has more power and what entailed chasing power don't want to go mad around 250bhp with the torque that would bring BIG SMILES... ideally I don't want to lose my DPF as I hate puff of black smoke and would like to keep it easy to drive as my wife will drive it with my daughter in most of the time. Any advice would be great Thanks Kelby
  9. 300+bhp is a fast road car and that's what I'm after
  10. I was in the dealer Sunday and both VRS 230 and 4x4 tdi gone now
  11. Sweet so not that bad really shame as what my vxr was so not too much of an issue... I'll be looking at mapping it away almost straight away... u just really want my next car to have 300bhp... which is why the a6 was appealing with quattro
  12. I love my VRS which is why I want to stay with them.. was set on another diesel but the 2.0 lump just isn't enough power even mapped.. so was thinking A6 3.0 biturbo.. then started to get talking to the skoda master tech and he pushed me towards the 230. ... Is it that harder hit on fuel?? My wife will drive it most of the time she gets 45is mpg at mo around town..
  13. Hi all currently have a mk2 VRS cr170 which has been mapped along with DSG which is running 210bhp... But now looking at chopping it in and my local dealer had a 230 in white and estate which is what I want... What is it really like on a day to day bases not just reviews worth it??and has anyone had there mapped yet as seeing on revo they will easily achieve 300bhp which I want.. Thanks kelby
  14. Didn't worry me too much doesn't need to bend a lot jus small amount but we'll worth the look
  15. Thanks really please with it loOKs soo much better than that horrible grille.. Yeah got the slot in the grille still had to bend the bonnet release to get it to fit... It took about 5 working days to arrive so not bad at all really
  16. So decided it was time to update the front end again and brought more stuff from superskoda must of been one of there top customers recently as brought load of little bits.. Change upper grille looks 100% better why didn't skoda make it honeycombe from the start... I just brought the insert as already painted the chrome surround gloss black
  17. No wasn't factory fit I put it in few months ago... I've check all wiring and it's all good... only thing I have done now is more the antenna which I located behind the interior light and moved it further to the pass side... seems to be OK now went for drive 5/12
  18. Just to check bringing up an old thread this noise that you have is it like having the back window open
  19. Mine putting me in the English Channel and currently says 0/12
  20. Afternoon all Haven't used the sat nav on the Columbus for awhile and the wife used it to go to Heathrow this morning.. it found the route ok but as soon as he got to the end of the road it started going all over the place saying we were in the wrong place turn round etc just generally going all overthe place . Never had issue before I got her to do a software reset holding buttons and still made no difference can anyone help Thanks
  21. That's right I'm at the same point not bored as sometimes I think blimey this quick just wish it was about 230 250bhp and that would be a very quick diesel.. I think I won't bother with another map as it's not worth the little bhp increase that you get... Handling is an option but wife loves the ride and doesn't want it ruined... Might just plod on with it for more doing little bits here and there and look at audi a6 3.0 biturbo 320bhp standard and will get that mapped
  22. I find map great it's aggressive at low speeds but at higher speeds above 50 it just surges and surges 20mph at a time when your on it... General driving very nice smooth just like driving it normally
  23. I see so you haven't got it mapped yet... Stage 2 is dpf delete and mapping it out which releases some horse's.. mine dsg so should handlet etc power
  24. I find map great it's aggressive at low speeds but at higher speeds above 50 it just surges and surges 20mph at a time when your on it... General driving very nice smooth just like driving it normally
