So i finally have my new car, she's a beauty! It is all singing, dancing with bells and whistles! I've read the manual from back to front and I may get ribbed on here but I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. On the drivers side wing mirror there is an orange light that flashes, it's facing the glass of the door so not for other road users. What is it for?? I've added a little pic of the inside, albeit quite dark!

I'm absolutely livid with Skoda. Supposed to be picking my car up at 50m today, after a long 19 month wait. For them to call me 30 minutes ago to say when they were doing final checks on the vehicle they've realised it needs a new part for the computer. I've already changed insurance over and booked the new car in to have dashcam hard wired. Absolute joke!! I have bought numerous new Skodas over the last 15 years, I will never buy skoda again now.

Mine also arrived on Wednesday. I pick it up next Friday. Fingers crossed its everything I have hoped over the last 21 months!

So I had a call from the dealership today, they said I have a new build date 4 weeks from now. I asked what that meant for delivery timescale and they said their guess is as good as mine.....useless. Does anyone have a rough estimate of delivery date, based on experience?

Mine is a Vrs iV too but taking almost 2 years, got a few extras on it.

Well I got a phone call from my dealer yesterday that I have a build date, something about build week 40? And I'm on 28 currently? So does this mean I should get it around October?

I think its more a problem with the plug in hybrids.

Thought I'd put my 'twopenneth' in. Ordered a Skoda Vrs Hybrid with lots of extras in January 2022. In part exchange of our Kodiaq (that is just turned 4 years old). No updates whatsoever for build dates. Had to re-finance the Kodiaq and now having to foot the bill of a 4 year service. In the last 20 years we have never had a car for more than 3 years so never had to MOT a car and never had to pay for a service outside the service plan. Really not a happy Bunny!

I'm so glad I got an answer to my original question...not! No need for sarcy comments, yes we should have measured etc.... The dealer had the same dog crate as us and same car, led us to believe that the crate actually fit in the boot, he obviously lied....... We bought a smaller crate!

Hi all, can anyone tell me how to search for addresses just by using a postcode on the Sat Nav for the Octavia III? I've looked in the manual and I cant find anything? Thanks in advance Lea x

We were specifically told it was exactly the same in the boot as the previous model! Apart from actually taking the dog crate 50 miles to the show room we just had to rely on what the salesman told us. We have a big dog, hence the estate, so along with a big dog goes a big crate. In the specs for the car it actually states that it is bigger. This may be the case, for the area but the opening to the boot and the mechanics of the boot is much smaller. It is no detriment to Skoda whatsoever, i love the car but i love my dog more and just a little unhappy at having to buy hundreds of pounds of crate when i have a perfectly good what sitting here!

Yeah i have done this, it still doesn't give enough room for the dog crate. We used to have to fold the back seats back and the collapse the backs of the seats to fit it in. we were assured by our salesman that we could still do this!
