  1. Mainly price difference as well as finish, I've seen the Remus and the finish on it is very nice. Although the Scorpion also is a quality product, just being £1000 more.... I'm feeling somewhat strong vibrations through the seat at 2500rpm+ as well as noticing the back window vibrating also. The sun viser when down does the same too. I wonder if I just need to put another 1000 miles on it because I don't hear any rattle, the vibration is only happening at a high-ish RPM so I don't believe it's a fault with the fit.
  2. I've recently had a Scorpion (https://www.scorpion-exhausts.com/skoda-octavia-vrs-2-0-tsi-265-2013-2015-resonated-cat-back-system-oe-fitment) fitted to my MK3 Octavia VRS. Sounds good however I am getting some vibrations through the seats in the vehicle at around 3000rpm+. I've done about 1000 miles so far with the exhaust fitted. I understand any aftermarket part will change the OEM feel of the vehicle but I wanted to know if this was normal and if it's to do with the type of exhaust itself. I am wondering if the Remus (https://clptuning.co.uk/product/remus-cat-back-exhaust-skoda-octavia-vrs/) given that it's a more quality and refined exhaust that it wouldn't give that high resonation and vibration in the cabin?
  3. I've asked for a quote for fitting them from 3 different dealerships. All say they cannot be retrofitted.
  4. Downside is they can't be retrofitted.
  5. Can't remember the exact cost but mine was around £16-18k. Loaded it with every single addon bar a few useless ones like smokers pack etc.Edit: It was around £18,600 when I configured it but I remember I got it down to £15,900
  6. That's the thread and my reply with it installed. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/331446-remote-control-boot-lid-opening/#entry3998068
  7. I've mentioned here before that I had work done on my 64 rapid liftback. The front grill was removed while the bumper was on. Its just the screws at the top and then clips.
  8. I do have the warning to top up washer fluid. It shows the warning light and a message upon starting the engine. Then the light is lit constantly
  9. It's real easy. Had some work done and that involved taking the grill off. It's just held in place by the screws at the top which can be seen after lifting the bonnet. Then you just unclip it.
  10. Installed it, part of the gas strut took some effort to get off but I got it in the end. Nice cool mod for not much ££. Not really bothered about it not working 100% of the time, as long as it doesn't do the car any damage.
  11. Bought them. Thanks for posting! I'm sure it'll become useful a few times.
  12. Remove the top screws and it should pop off. When I had an accident in mine, I watched it being taken off and put back on again. Just make sure it lines up right when you put it back on. Get a torch in the grill to try see the clips that hold it in so you aren't straining the weak points.
  13. Agreed. Went into skoda to buy an superb estate, came out with a skoda rapid sport. The price and the looks are what I was sold on. I saved almost £15k and I still got the big boot!
  14. It's on the far side of the handbrake. Parallel with the 12v connection.
  15. Ordered in the middle of June. Arrived shortly after the 20th of August. I have a lot of options so I'm fairly certain it was a complete new build.
  16. I got the same thing. Retrofitted sensors but I wasn't told they'll be retrofitted. Up until the day I was picking up my car I thought they were factory installed. I was certainly shocked to see no visual display either. Although I never really used it much on my old car, it was nice to have.
  17. If you have the Amundsen+ unit. Hold the media button for a few seconds and let go. It'll bring you to a menu to choose the source for the music.
  18. Yeah it's an option. I got the rain sensor with it. Not had a chance to fully test the rain sensor but it should be similar to my golf. I don't believe there's an easy retrofit for them both. There's a sensor under the rear view mirror.
  19. I have buttons on both sides. But I have the three spoke flat bottomed steering wheel as an optional extra. I have 4 sensors because the sensors were retrofitted by my skoda dealer rather than the manufacturing stage. I actually asked them because I saw they only came with 3.
  20. I've got auto lights. They light up when I unlock the car but not when I come out the car after driving it. Probably needs setting with VCDS so when my car goes in I'll ask them.
  21. Green also attracts so many bugs, I love the colour but it'll require a lot of maintenance. Luckily I've not come across any combine harvesters. Sorry to hear about yours. Maybe get something like smart insurance which covers small scratches and I believe chips.
  22. * I wouldn't know for sure because I have the multi-function steering wheel but I know the buttons on the stalks attached to the steering column replace most of the controls that the buttons on the wheel do. * I cannot change the locking profiles. Pretty sure you'd need to use both keys and set each key via VCDS to your own preference. All I can change is what the maxidot displays (old, temp, milage etc), whereas in my old 2010 golf I could change coming home lights and lots of other features. * I moved from my 16" wheels to these 17" low profile tyres and the ray alloys. Ride is a bit choppier but not unbearable. * Drivers door does have all the window buttons.
  23. It is indeed. Luckily only the front bumper is damaged by the looks of it, a few small scrapes so a decent paint job will fix it right up!
