11 months out of warranty last service was private garage

Skoda garage couldn't find the gearbox judder on pull away. Just took to another garage and there telling me the clutch pack has had it and it's gonna cost 2.5k to fix. Have I got a case to raise with Skoda? Out of warranty but the car has only done 28300 miles.

GoneOffSki George I believe. Was refused the diagnosis log at the dealership but have got cus.serv. to email that to me tomorrow. I do have a sheet with the weight before and after I drove 620 miles though. Before weight is 2535grams and after is 2260 grams

Spoke to cus. Serv. I am not entitled to the oil squirted pipes as mine is not above 0.5 per 620 miles. (0.33) . collecting my car and results later today. Results from July cannot be collected until feb 4 as someone is away on holiday.

Any chance they will try and come up with an excuse why I can't have the jets done?

After the breather pipes being fitted in July the reading I was given was 0.230. (0.964) before the fix. Now I'm being told 0.33 / 620M

Just checked my oil usage result in June after the breather pipes were fitted. Skoda garage said it's using 0.230 620M . So in 8 months it's gone up to 0.33

So I am untitled to this 2nd part of the fix ?!

Yday they said it's using 0.33 in 620 miles doing their weight test. I have worked out it's used 0.474! Sounds like it has been done wrong

As anyone heard about a new fix that's come out 2 days ago? the oil squirt jets, after the breather pipes. Someone just mentioned to me.

I will get the results and post them Monday. Nothing more can be done can it? It's not using over 0.5L per 620M .

Was refused the 1st test results. But will ask for them and these new ones to be emailed to me when head office call me Monday. From what iv worked out it's using 4.62 per 620M. So nothing more can be done right?

Skoda just called saying in the 620 miles I drove it's used 0.33 of a litre. (Times it by 3 is 620 x3 = 1860 Miles 0.99 of a Litre) So in 9300 miles (1860Mx5) the car should use no more than 5L I know mine has used 6.5L in 8500M which was my original complaint. Something doesn't add up!

Final test has been done and have been told it's used 0.33 of a litre in 620 miles. Looks like The only option is to sell it

I have nearly done the 620 miles and m taking the car back for is final consumption test today. Feel offended that Skoda said to me it could use up to 1L in 620 miles though. When most peoples are using hardly nothing in 5000!

So was yours resolved? Mines going in again today for another consumption test. If they won't sort it this time they can buy the car off me for the going rate don't want a car that costs £10 a week on oil plus petrol

Colin from Trans City refused me. i gave the car to them in june in warranty with the issue. it ran out a few days later. so should be covered with the oil problem. thanks. will keep you posted. might have to seek legal advice if this continues
