  1. While visiting the dealer for winter tire fitment earlier this week, i got booked for a software update (towhook related) and a badge..
  2. Aircon compressor kicking in? This is very distinct in my 500 abarth, not felt this so far in the skoda though..
  3. Hm, I'd rather like to have the vrs badge on my steering wheel too, I rather feel I'm lacking now as it would be a good distraction to rest the eyes upon at my daily commute runs, with lane assist, beam assist, dsg and acc there is a lot of spare time in the cockpit, certainly enough to glance trough headlines of the daily while sipping my morning coffe;)
  4. Aircon on=fan on i guess. Could it be a somewhat faulty (leaking) thermostat in the cooling circiuit?
  5. Lane assist or/and front assist are acessible direct by the switch on the end of the left stalk, you ganscroll between them with right thumbwheel and cancel/enable by clicking right thumbwheel. No need to go through the menu in maxidot.
  6. I ordered the webasto for winter time, but I must say that the ventilation function is just as useful, might only be a modest air circulation at best. But it really gets the cabin bearable to get into after the car has been coocing in the sun all day. Metal grey is quote dark and black leather does not make things cooler. Ventilation as done by the webasto unit does renarkably well actually. Let see if it is better at heating the cabin than in our defender dt5, that car is a joke in scandinavian winters.
  7. I got front mudflaps fitted from factory on my vrs, it is possible to select underbody protection over here (costs about £45) i suspect the mudflaps came as part of this option. I dearly need it, roads here are quite horrible.
  8. No glass roof for me I'm afraid, webasto heater instead:) Can't seem to get any good pictures, this colour is strange, sometimes it has a greenish tone to it, sometimes blue, sometimes even brown. Lack of a good camera too. Off to the garage not, have to make room for the abarth, it is in dear need of a rear brake overhaul.
  9. Got this car for a week now, helping the counts on metal grey The little Abarth sits unused for now.
  10. On, most of the time, I commute on mixed roads, country lanes and motorway to work. I don't fint it too intrusive and it's quite relaxing on the motorway. Have it set to adaptive lane driving, or whatever it's called.
  11. This is my first non-manual gearboxed car. Had it for only one week yet, but I must confess I've become a lazy git lately. Can't ever see myself getting a manual car again. And yes, I do have acc and lane assist too. Quite a difference to the 500 Abarth...
  12. Finally took delivery of my vrs tdi this week (my 2015). I can't really tell if it has a sg or not, if it has one, it is a lot more muted than in the tsi i demoed about six months ago. There is allso no setting in the menu for sg in individual mode
  13. Getting my metal grey vrs estate with black pack on tuesday, first of july. I'll try to get some picures.. Been a long wait, ordered in end of January.
  14. Hello, only just joined this forum, will collect a new octavia tdi rs estate the first of July. Bee driving mostly various alfas over the years, currently an abarth 500 essesse though. Bit more boot capacity in the skoda...
