  1. Mine has developed this suspect noise as well. Only 7 months old. Can only be heard when I have the window down. Occurs when it revs above 1000rpm. It is clearly a rattle of some sort cause when I stand outside the car and gently Rev it with my left foot it's clearly noticeable. I have already took the car back to the dealer once which they said it was normal. I quickly told the service manger to get another superb with the same engine. He parked it next to mine and started to rev it up. Suprise suprise no rattle. He left a little red faced. They had the car for 2 days. Fuel pump replaced, apparently that was the source of the rattle. Picked it back up and and there was no difference. The master fit mechanic came out and explained it was some sort of cylinder. I was in a rush so said I would return if it got worse. Now, it has not any worse than before but it clearly has a rattle somewhere. It's quite annoying when driving with the window open. I have listened to a number of 2.0litre 140 and they have no rattle at whole as they sound perfect. I am going to call into the dealer tomorrow as its clearly not right. Is this a common issue? I take it is just with 2.0tdi's?
  2. Yes, but only on the S and SE model I think. Was certainly the case when I ordered mine.
  3. No. All you get is a spray can and a compressor. A spare was an optional extra
  4. Both back and base are the same for mine (I think). Never noticed if they were different temp.
  5. Can take up to 3 weeks I was told. Mine took 2.5
  6. Based in Newcastle Brocky. Thanks guys. Very grateful for all the advice. Im going to talk to dealer about the option to repair it first etc so will see what they say.
  7. The damage is actually in the dashboard material. In the picture that I posted above the damaged can be seen from the whit mark near the top. Apologies as I know the photo is not great.
  8. Aye - new dashboard. :-( Seems a lot to change for such a small area.
  9. Yes. That the place Jake. I thought that but was quite surprised when They said a whole new dashboard as individual parts cannot be repair or replaced. Green circle
  10. Dealer was happy to replace but suggested that if it was his car, he would leave it be. I replied but it's only 2 months old. He suggested that fitting a new dashboard in the dealership will never be the same as a factory fit as everything has to come out then back in again. I have contacted Skoda Uk and discussed the issue with them as well as my concerns. They have said that all workmanship has a warranty behind it so if a rattle does develop it will be sorted. My main concern with the replacement dash is having a unexpected rattle and damaging the car when replacing it as at the moment everything is perfect, well except for the dash. The place where the fault is odd and I was surprised I never noticed it until today. It is out of eye shot and would only ever be noticed if I was bending down looking for it or in the passenger side. Now I know it is there, it's very annoying. Going to ring the dealer tomorrow to discuss.
  11. Doesn't show well in the photo but the white is basically the split. Not big I know but still very annoying on a brand new car.
  12. The picture does not show it very well but the white shows the size of it.
  13. Dear all, Need some advice with regards to going ahead with a FULL dashboard replacement or not? My Superb elegance is only 2 months old and only today noticed that there is about an 2cm split in the dashboard. It is in the soft touch material under the heater controls, just to the side of the ash tray. Now the dealer has offered to replace the full dashboard but also said that it's (personally) probably not worth getting it done as they never go back in as they would in the factory. 5 hour job so would take the full day. Is he talking sense or is he is trying to avoid the job etc? I don't want to have a new dashboard that has a magical rattle as that would do my head in, but on the other hand, the car is my pride and joy and it's annoying me that the split is there that should not be there at all. It's out of my eye line but just generally annoys me as I keep looking at it and touching it. Has anyone had any experience in getting a full replacement dashboard? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as at the moment I have no idea what to do. Thanks Andrew

  15. Passenger side only on my 64 plate. Although it does not seem to be a sticker, more like incorporated into the visor. I find this a little annoying as the transfer/sticker or what ever it is, is on the outside of the visor so is always visible when the visor is not in use. As you say, it does look rather odd!
  16. They do on my 2014 superb. Also flash when I close the boot lid as well,
  17. They are talking rubbish! I played 2 dealers off together. Get a price from one and then go to the other etc. Worked a treat for me. Managed to get nearly 4k off my superb and that was still going through PCP. On top of that, I still managed to haggle a full tank of fuel, full mats and they pay for the £80 to transfer my plate. The first dealer quoted me full price and wouldn't budge, quoted them and internet price and then they came back £1 under the internet quoted price. Went to another dealer and told them the figures (but not all of them ) and they came back and smashed the original quote out of the water. Play hard, at the end of the day it is you who will be paying for it. Good luck.
  18. I have used the collinite once and its great. So easy to apply and work with. Alloys were standard on the elegance spec. I really like them as well! :sun:
  19. Yeah it killed me waiting. I found myself constantly looking at pictures on here but it just made things worse! ha You will no be disappointed. I love it! its the best car I have ever had.
  20. Thanks guys! I am absolutely chuffed to bits with the results. I am over the moon with the car to be honest. Best car I have ever had! I was really impressed with the collinite 845. Very easy to apply and work with and the Sonax just works a treat. I will have a look at the leather car stuff.
