  1. Glass is right inside the door, I am awful with any physical labour so didn't want to take the card off. Have made do with some handy tape, bin/recycling bags and card.
  2. Yeah, realised this after I had rang them! lol Hoping it has just come out of the clamps, will find out in the coming days. Any solutions other than bin/recycling bags sellotaped to the window to keep out the wet?
  3. Cheers for the replies, guys. It was just the whole panel the other week, the motor itself was fine. Window was working okay, then last night got stuck at halfway, went back to the top and then in five minutes time dropped and disappeared. Need to take it apart to see what the problem is, but wanted to try and sort it quickly. Nearest Skoda garage is about 40 mins walk, but not sure they are open today so wanted a back-up if I could get them from Halfords or similar.
  4. After replacing my window regulator last week (a horrible affair), I used my rivets on the panel. Today, the window got stuck halfway and then disappeared, so something is not right. I want to use the right rivets this time, but could do with getting them today. I can see they are N91078801 but nowhere tells me what size they are. Any hints? Cheers.
  5. And if not I'm presuming I need some new ones? I like the sound of the ones for sale on here.
  6. Just tried now with my hands but no joy, will give the string and yanking hard a go.
  7. I'm looking to get some of these on my VRS, can I use the standard wheelnuts that came with the car?
  8. I was hoping I could just pull the stalk up, wanted to check before I yank it and it breaks though.
  9. My Xenon washers seem to work randomly and I was told by the MOT centre that if I taped them down they would not be tested. Did this and they tested them anyway! One of the caps that covers the hole seems to have popped off and was stuck to the tape. It doesn't appear to be broken, how does it fit back in? There looks like some posts on the washer jet post itself, but how do I get this to rise so I can fit it back on?
  10. I've got some second hand ones coming from off here, will see what they are like. Fingers crossed!
  11. Running standard Fabia vRS brakes all round.
  12. Will check this out, thanks. Fronts were £55 but the rear still £118.
  13. I have no skills with cars or anything mechanical, I have no reason not to believe the garage.
  14. I'd have to get someone to take them all of and paint them then, I have no mechanical skill whatsoever. One silver would make my OCD brain go mental. lol
  15. Duplicating badly, someone please sort out my mess..... Last time I try posting on a tablet!
  16. After letting the garage look at my squeaking Fabia, they have told me I need a new brake caliper. They want to charge me £130+VAT for a green one, cheapest I can find is £105 delivered on Ebay. Yet a standard silver caliper is £37.50? Is this green paint special? Anybody see any cheaper or am I wasting money and should just paint the silver one...
  17. Can anyone find one cheaper or am I wasting my money buying the green one, I suppose is the question.

  19. Pads seem okay, but brakes are very hot after driving. Release springs it is!
  20. Thanks for the speedy replies guys, will try and get out to the car on my lunch break and have a quick look. I had read about the release springs, think I will order them anyway as it doesn't look like to much of a job to fit them.
