  1. Hi Do you still have the car, I’m after the rear passenger window mechanism, not the glass. Mine keeps chewing up the cable so I think I’m gonna just replace the whole thing. thanks
  2. Hi all, i have recently changed my front wishbones and track rod ends with brand new standard parts (meyle) for the MOT. Ball joint and rear wishbone bushes were excessive play and it seamed easier to replace them as a whole rather than trying to squeeze new bushes in. Car passed the retest, but now I have a knock coming from the front end. Also when reversing on full lock I also get a knock. Have I messed up my steering rack (struggled to get a stubborn track rod end off and ended up cutting it off and using abit of brute force) or something else. The drop links were only replaced last year, a long with the arb bushes inc all collars etc from arb.i have double checked the ball joint and wishbone bolts but these seem pretty tight. any ideas? thanks
  3. Hi, yes I already have them fitted, but it hasn’t had any effect. My main issue is, it was a brand new caliper only 6months ago and has started to seize already. The lever is pretty stiff even after dosing in wd40. The other side, also replaced at the same time is fine and moving freely. But thanks for the suggestion. If I’m having problems now after this time frame it’s not gonna last long. I think my best bet is to send it back and get the manufacturer to either replace it or repair it. its just annoying as I now have to find a temp replacement whilst I wait for this...
  4. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-QUATTRO-TT-3-DR-COUPE-MK-1-1998-2006-DRIVERS-SIDE-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPER-/382351840101 can any confirm if this will fit as a temp replacement while the other goes back?
  5. Last summer I replace both rear brake calipers as the drivers side was binding. Now however 7 months on the drivers side handbrake lever is seizing. i have been in touch with the supplier (Ebay purchase) who has advised there is a 2 year warranty on the part, but it would need to be sent back to the manufacturer (through them). The issue I then have, this is my daily driver and I use it everyday. To send this back I will need to find a temporary suitable replacement. can anybody please advise on what other rear calipers I can use in the mean time. its a mk1 Octavia vrs 53 plate. thanks in advance.
  6. Hi mate, if your willing to separate the exhaust and sports cat and downpipe, how much do you want for each?
  7. Check around the inlet manifold for any split pipes and hoses sounds similar to issues I had recently
  8. Thanks for the heads up, I had a quick check for split hoses when I put the new maf on and couldn't see anything. I'll have a proper rummage after the weekend.
  9. Just to close this tread if anybody is interested, I clearedall codes and rescanned the car and it came back with a MAF issue, can't remember the code now, but said there was low signal from the MAF. So went to My local ECP and picked up a replacement Bosch MAF, cleared the codes again and all seems good. Haven't been for a proper run in it, but am sure it will all be fine. Thanks for all the help.
  10. Thanks you, I'll go and give it a blast and see what it says.
  11. 01314 - Engine Control Module: Check DTC Memory Possible Causes Fault(s) stored in Engine Control Module Possible Solutions Check Engine Control Module for Fault Codes Special Notes Engine Control Module stored a Code which influences other Control Modules Functionality. To clear this Fault Code you will need to correct the Problem in the Engine Control Module first. This is what it says in Ross tech wiki. Also can you elaborate and explain alittle more about how to test the MAF please yellowcar
  12. Thanks, will check Ross tech wiki now and post back what it says

  14. The other day whilst driving to work my traction control light came on and stayed on, and when coming home the management light came on too. Have just bought a cable of eBay and downloaded VCDS lite. I have scanned te car and have come back with the following codes: Abs brakes - 01314 engine control module 013 check doc memory Engine - 17544 fuel trim 1 system too lean 16486 shareware version to decide all dtcs but I presume this is due to the unregistered VCDS lite I'm sure the later is due to a split in a pipe but not sure tbh. Can any one she's some light and point me in the right direction. Cheers
  15. Thanks revrend for the offer, was hoping to find somebody a little closer to home. Am going to try a bit of trail and error and check the MAF and see if I can work something out. Might still come back to you on your offer tho
  16. Oops, been looking at it on the mobile site and it doesn't show that detail. Have amended it now, thanks
  17. No octavia vrs mk1, where did you get puma from?
  18. Recently had the traction control light come on and stay on whilst driving to work. Then on the way home the engine management light came on and both are now still on. After a search on here I'm reckoning it's either a ABS sensor (possibly rear) or the MAF. Engine is still pulling and driving fine. Is there anybody local to Huddersfield / Brighouse area who has VCDS and can scan the car for me.
  19. Hi mate, I'm after the top boot interior trim in black for a mk1 hatch back. Do you have it? If so how much inc postage to huddersfield. Cheers
