Hi All It'll be good to see you all if you can make it. Yes, Meadowhall Retail Park, the one with PC World and Toys R Us etc. There's a Pizza Hut and McDonalds there if you're peckish/thirsty. I'll be there from 6 to 8 I would have thought, depending on numbers. If loads turn up, I might stay a bit later My new wheels turn up on Wednesday - Just my bl00dy luck! -

I recently went on the hunt for PuTTY for Mac OS X, but found that I can do everything I need from the Terminal. Ahh, that's more like it

Excellent, another Fabia vRS to V6 converter! Don't they sound awesome! I'm too after some finance-free motoring for a while... It's the future

Anyone recommend a car valeter in the North West?

Clay will remove any remaining Jewel Ultra and then you can use whatever you like to remove or mask the swirl marks. -
Octavia II vRS (Petrol) - Fuel Consumption
Josh_PoloGTi replied to Josh_PoloGTi's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Well I drove one today for about 20 minutes... Took it from the Macclesfield to Leek Road, up to the Cat & Fiddle, then down the C&F back to Macc. 25mpg. I need another TDI Thanks for all the comments though! I think a 140 TDI Sport will do me. (I loved the way the vRS handled though!) -

So, they're getting 31.2mpg in a heavilly laden estate, nailing it around the country. Hmm, not bad. -
Hi All The deal with the TDI vRS fell through as the car was rubbish when inspected :( So, It's either a TDI Sport or possibly a Petrol vRS. I need to know what MPG people are getting out of their Petrol Octavia II vRS's... Not just down the motorway or when tickling the throttle... Day to day driving on NSL A Roads, with a bit of town traffic thrown in. Bear in mind I live in the Peak District, so there are lots of hills If people think an average of 35mpg is realistic, then I could get one... 30mpg or lower is a problem. I know I sound like a tight-ar5e, but I have a budget that I need to stick to. I would love to get in a vRS as that's what my heart is set on, however all the decent TDI vRS's are well above my budget... However I've found a number of Petrol vRS's in my price range with low milage. Help me Briskoda... You're my only hope!

I had H&R Coilovers on mine. £779 Plus Fitting and Tracking. Just height adjustable, but awesome quality and fantastic ride. You can't fit a Jabbasport Anti Roll Bar with them though, due to the way the rear springs are adjusted. 70mm Front and 50mm Rear - Max Lowering.

If I see a bike behind me, I assume (s)he's going to overtake at the next chance, so I let them.
