  1. Think the blemishes were just rain spots as there is. Thing else around the chip, just had a look and the paint is smooth around it. Im going to just hand back as is and accept that I might be charged for the chip, I have some money aside to cover that anyway, fingers crossed and I might get lucky. they are coming to inspect on Tuesday and take away on Wednesday.
  2. Hello all, Im about to leave the Skoda Rapid family. Had it for three years and by and large it has been a pretty decent car and very little problems. Ill be handing it back at some point in the next 2-4 weeks and having looked at the body, which has been OK I noticed that there is a small stone chip. It is noticable and probably in the not acceptable category for handing back, even though it is just a stone chip. Not wanting to get stung with a bill I would like to get it sorted. I have attached a couple of pictures Any recommendations and what I should do. Also, if I just handed it back with this what do you think they would end up charging me?
  3. Hello all, looking for a bit of advice. I have a 14 plate Rapid Sport and noticed that I had a chip in the bonnet. It is pretty small but deep and goes all the way through to the paint. I got in touch wit chips away and they said that other than getting the whole bonnet resprayed I might be able to get the dealer to sort. I was wondering if there was a way that you would be able to touch it up so that it looks OK. It is on PCP and due up within the year so I dont want to get hit with any big bills when I hand it back (although this could come under wear and tear?) Thanks
  4. Just a little update. Skoda said that I am still £815 short of being able to do a VT without a fee, which is in about 5 months time. So itll be about 35 months into the 42 month agreement. Im assuming then that this 50% that is in the T&C includes the GFMV and not just the amount of finance to be paid without the the GMFV?
  5. I thought if you did the voluntary termination then it went against you for other deals? I have just over a year left on mine but would happily look at handing back if there were no downsides.
  6. Hello, I am a little while away from the end of my PCP deal but was thinking some of you will be there by now (or have passed it). I have a Rapid Sport with the GMFV of around £5500 and 8000 miles/year deal. Im probably going to be at least 1000miles under the 28000 allowed in the deal. I was wondering if ther was any other Rapid Sport owners that had finished their deals and if they had any equite i their PCP? THanks
  7. I just missed my 1k when it was time, took a picture but the flaw blanked out the reading
  8. I asked and they said that it would be OK to leave till service time in about 6months
  9. Afik it gets higher the more worn it becomes. My wife drove us back from our wedding last week and after a few stalls was ok but the stalling was because she went past the biting point too quickly
  10. I kind of paid full whack for the sport but did get 3k trade in for a knackered fabia that was only worth a couple of hundred. Mildly worried about depreciation as this is my first new car but I'll worry more about that at about the ntime the PCP deal runs out. The added bonus is that its all 0%
  11. I was in the red and only 320 miles, I'm using a fairly economical driving style but it does involve more shorter journeys so I think that what takes a hit, just look at my fully banner, nowhere near what I thought I would get, even on longer journeys the best bi have had is mid 40s
  12. Sadly, I think that is the way they are, I remember a post elsewhere on here with this being one of the common gripes!
  13. This is a bit worrying as my average is around 38, the best being 42. I'm not racing it either, was thinking it may be because its the 105 PS but not from what others are saying
  14. I do about 50 50 overall but my figures are not good, last fill up was under 32 mpg best was 42, I got that once through all mways driving. Its the 105 tsi but not too impressed but hoping that it improves when the engine loosens up (its done just underk 3)
  15. Oh, And my mpg is nowhere near what I expected
