  1. Thanks, looks like this will have to go on the to-do list along with the air conditioning resistor and radio.
  2. Is there a cd changer with fittings, if so how much?

  4. I think it's a storage box where the handle has broken off, from looking at pictures of the storage boxes. Think I'll have to remove the passenger seat as you say, thanks
  5. Looking from the back and feeling behind the cover there is definitely something there I'm just not sure what.
  6. I have a skoda fabia vrs 04 and was looking to buy and fit a cd changer. Since i had seen that some of them already have the cd changer i thought id check if mine did. However the compartment under the passenger seat simply wont open, i cant tell whether it's just a box or a cd changer but either way there doesnt appear to be a release catch and trying to pull it open simply doesnt work. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Rob
  7. Thanks for the link, reading the first comment from somebody who bought a replacement sensor off ebay that didn't go too well I think I'll get the garage to do it.
  8. I think I have found the replacement part http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Fabia-Variant2-Febi-Engine-Coolant-Temperature-Sender-Sensor-Unit-Part-New-/191179854876?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda%7CModel%3AFabia%7CCars+Year%3A2004%7CPlat_Gen%3A6Y2%7CCars+Type%3A1.9+TDI+RS&hash=item2c8335141c Has anybody fitted one of these, how easy would it be? Thanks
  9. Just bought a Skoda Fabia vrs 04 with 80,000 miles on the clock. I'm very happy with it but after a few days of driving the engine light came on, I was a little concerned but the place I bought it from had offered a 6 month warranty so at least it wouldn't be damaging my wallet. Decided to order a vag-com kit so that I could self diagnose problems, its my first car so I might as well start teaching myself now. After plugging it in to my laptop the error (and luckily only error) was reported as an intermittent temperature sensor fault, looking at the temperature sensor reading on the dash this did seem sensible. The question is is it worth a 120 mile round trip to get the temperature sensor replaced or would I be better off either getting someone local to do it or attempting to do it myself? It appears this is a common fault and not much to worry about. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks, Rob
