  1. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-II/Superb-II-Limousine-3pcs-set-of-sun-privacy-bug-shades I have bought these sun blinds from Superskoda, they didn't come with any fitting instructions. Having looked on the web for instructions there are videos etc, but they don't give the spacing or placement for the supplied clips. I have 9 metal clips and 7 plastic clips, but no idea which go where. Have any of you guys bought/fitted these and can give me pointers in the right direction. Also the rear shade, doesn't seem to fit perfectly in the rear window due to the high level brake light, are there any workarounds for this? Cheers David
  2. If calling these number from my mobile I always use http://www.saynoto0870.com/ 9 times out of 10 they have an alternative number that starts 01, 02, 03, or the free phone 0800/0808. Therefore using your inclusive minutes if calling from a mobile.
  3. I would happily swap the seats and wheels from that to my current car.
  4. That's what I am thinking also, he may be refering to the load index, rather than the dB level.
  5. Did you miss the part where the OP said "any pointers to a cheap Tow-bar", the parts alone for the OE towbar and electrics cost £420 and that's without fitting!
  6. I got one of these fitted: http://www.pfjones.c...le-tow-bar.html With the 13 pin electrics By my local http://www.indespension.co.uk/ Cheapest price I could get. It was £420 supplied and fitted, the detachable neck also fits into the space in the spare wheel.(A tight fit, but it does fit)
  7. Thought it was 4 years for the timing belt?
  8. https://www.northcoast500.com/home.aspx Has anyone toured the North Coast 500, I am thinking about doing it beginning of next month. What campsites do you recommend.
  9. Yep you're correct, it's 205bhp and not 220 as I said previously.Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  10. I would go for the 170 as one of the posters above says you will get more grunt from that when you remap it, than from the 140. I'm sure it's closed to 220bhp when mapped. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  11. Update, Skoda UK called the dealership who then spoke to someone, they have increased the offer to 50%. It's now costing me £255 which I am happy with. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  12. I bought the car second hand, but have always used the same Skoda dealership to do all the work on the car.Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  13. Just had a call from Skoda UK regarding the goodwill gesture, telling me that it comes from the garage and not them, yet the garage had to speak to someone to offer the 35% goodwill discount. Who did they speak to if it wasn't Skoda? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  14. I wouldn't expect it done FOC as it is outside the warranty period but I would have thought Skoda would have contributed a minimum of 50%.
  15. During a recent service carried out on my car, it was noticed there was a coolant leak which they suspect is coming from the water pump. So to carry this work out the garage have said that I should have the timing belt and tensioners changed too. They have quoted me £459 to have this done. The car has only covered just over 29,000 miles and was first registered in November 2012, given the cars age and mileage and the fact it has a full service history. I know that a water pump should last allot longer than this so I queried about getting a goodwill gesture from Skoda. They have come back offering 35%, I know they are with in their rights to offer S.F.A, but surely 35% is a little on the low side given the age and history of the car.
  16. I have downloaded the app but can't find the service data anywhere.
  17. I see your point regarding the major service, I used to do my own servicing up until a few years ago as the engine compartment on my Suzuki Grand Vitara was to tight for my big mitts, plus you don't get the dealer stamp. And you are right about the brake fluid, why does it go from 3 years down to 2 years als,it surely should be every 3 years given that's when they first change it. I have went 4+ years without changing it before and it's never had any adverse effects on the braking capacity of that car. I think it may be time to clear the rust off the spanners and socket set.
  18. I have some questions/queries (or rants if you prefer) regarding servicing. My car is 3.5 years old and has 29055 miles on the clock. 1. Brake fluid change: This should be first carried out when the car is 3 years old, then every 2 years after that. Yet from the Skoda website it says: "Please note - If your vehicle requires brake fluid as part of a minor service this will be charged for separately at a cost of £45.00." So basically they should charge an extra £45 every minor service, as due to the service schedule it will always fall on a minor service. (Mine should have been changed at the service I have just had done but wasn't, even though the receptionist had booked it in for it. I will be on the phone on Monday) 2. Firmware: Is this a service item? As again from the Website: "Vehicle & software enhancements from ŠKODA’s database" The firmware on my car is version HW-Version H70, SW-Version 4120, now to me they haven't updated the vehicle software in either of the past 2 times I have had the car serviced. 3. Diagnostic check including report: I guess this entails going into the ECU via the OBD port and looking for fault codes, has anyone ever had a copy of the report given to them? Also my service book doesn't reflect the work that they have done, they changed the pollen filter in 2015, it is on the paperwork they provided but in the service book they have ticked no, I didn't notice this until I have had a good look at it all today, so that will also be getting mentioned. They were quick enough to say that my water pump might have a leak and they need to investigate it and possibly change it, also do the timing belt at the same time.. I would have thought a water pump should last more that 3.5 years / 30,000. Also at what Milage/age do the timing belts require changing? I am starting to be a little wary about my local dealership and the work they may/may not be doing.

  20. Surprising, as the swan neck on the Westfalia towbar I have fitted to mine fits snuggly into the spare wheel space.
  21. £150 for the pair http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/replacement-d1s-xenon-hid-bulbs/?bulb_search=car&end=front
  22. You will find some good tips on this thread. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/322439-new-badges-fitted/ The number for the front and rear badge is: 1ST853630AAUL and for for the alloys it's: 5JA601151FOD You can find them on EBAY but your local dealer might do them cheaper.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiViPKIoG68 It follows the same principles as this. It uses a highly refined fuel, which is then atomised finer than normal diesel would be giving it a cleaner burn, this in turn burns of the carbon deposits in your engine and DPF. Haven't had it done, but when the time comes I will be trying it first.
  24. Good price for a great car, I was seriously impressed with the comfort and the amount of gadgets you get for your money when I bought mine. This was my first Skoda and it definitely won't be my last by any means. Enjoy the car hope it gives you years of trouble free motoring.
