  1. Hi, I've not had this issue with my car, I have only ever transported ladders on my roof bars. I think I have read about a recall for this issue though, perhaps give your local Skoda dealer a call?
  2. Hi, I had the same deal as the original poster but the way my local dealer price matched meant I am paying around £187 per month (they then gave me an up-front cheque for the difference meaning the total cost is the same). I have just extended the lease at £189 per month. About £1.50 extra is increased VED and an outrageous 50p on the lease cost! Just had it serviced and last month 2x front tyres so should be a now cost-effective additional years motoring. Really pleased with the car. Nothing hugely redeeming with it but equally nothing I really long to improve with it.
  3. Anybody know the OEM positioning of roof bars on the estate?
  4. Has anybody had issue with the electronic hand brake not releasing? Over the last 50 miles or so mine has failed to release 3-4 times. I think only the green (P) is on at the time since it has always been when pulling away from a junction. You can give it loads of revs but nothing happens other than the clutch smelling a bit warm. Obviously isn't right but I want to go to Skoda with a few less variables so they can at least recreate the issue.
  5. The centre arm rest lid, is it meant to be on some sort of ratchet system or is mine broken?
  6. Collected my 2.0tdi 150 SE Business Estate on Tuesday (8th Dec), ordered 17th Aug. Very pleased with it. Also pleased with the Quartz Grey paint I chose.
  7. I have an SE Business Estate, no additional options, and the inners do not light up.
  8. Thanks for replies re: mats. Any ideas on cost of OEM mats? Cheapest place to buy?
  9. You should consider that the XF is essentially an 8 year old model/design now so not sure I'd be happy spending nigh on £30k on a new one.
  10. Is it really Skoda's fault? If you keep chopping and changing your order it's going to cause delays. Iirc you were ordering your car at the same time as I did in the same spec from the same dealer. I'm expecting mine to be delivered within the next week or so as it's built and on its way...
  11. Sure stratos look better but not worth cancelling and going elsewhere over. If the car was only ever offered with Helios I'd still have ordered. It makes very little difference to this type of car which is very much a white goods/appliance type vehicle.
  12. Has everyone with an SE Business been contacted about the wheels? I haven't so hoping this means I get Stratos.
  13. My SE Business Estate is now confirmed build week 46.
  14. My dealer, also Newport, called yesterday to say my SE Business Estate is still unconfirmed build week 46, they said it's unusual for it to not yet be confirmed but demand for the new Superb has been very high so perhaps that's why.
  15. Pete, were you expecting this or is it ahead or behind initial schedule?
  16. Or they've fitted the SE wheel option? As said, I've not heard anything from my dealer regarding the wheels, which may suggest the supply issue was solved before they ever called me? What colour did you order? I've gone Quartz Grey.
  17. I also ordered an SE Business Estate and at last check had a provisional week 46. I ordered a few days after you on 17/08. Where did you order from? Did Skoda confirm you'll be getting different wheels? I've not been told anything about wheels, only know what I've read on here. I'm hopeful of getting the car right at the end of November or very early December.
  18. Mine has come forward a week to 46, still unconfirmed though. Sales guy said it slipped to week 3, 2016 at one point! There seems to be no logic behind the build orders?
  19. ...Notably, Volvo have some Euro 6 NOx trap engines.
  20. After more research. There are other Euro 6 diesels which do not use Adblue and instead utilise "NOx traps". So perhaps this is how the 2.0tdi 150bhp passes Euro6. Unsure why the 4x4 version has adblue though, perhaps as it'll be more popular in a specific market where adblue is essential/tighter emissions rules? One article did suggest NOx traps are only workable for low capacity engines, unsure if a 2.0 150ps would be considered that or not.
  21. Mazda have a Euro 6 engine which doesn't require adblue, it achieves this by way of a very low compression ratio (14:1). The 150ps in the Superb is a fairly typical 16.2 : 1 so makes you wonder if Mazda and others couldn't achieve Euro 6 without adblue or another fundamental engine difference, how do VW?
  22. I must admit, I'll be surprised if the 150ps 2.0d is not impacted by this. How is it actually meeting Euro6 criteria without Adblue?
  23. Thought you had ordered a SE Business DSG lease deal?
