Look forward to your results planehazza,if it works then that would do me fine

The Carista dongle is a bit more than I really wanted to pay,I've contacted scores of suppliers of the cheaper ones but none of them can guarantee that they will work fully with the Carista app,I guess I either take pot luck or invest in the genuine Carista dongle.Ispecifically want it to be able to add any or as many enhancements as possible.

I've been asking suppliers about various ones and they all say there's are not compatible,as you spannaz, the replies seem to be coming from foreign suppliers although they advertise as being shipped ftom the UK.looks like I'll have to follow your route and buy the more expensive one to guarantee it works with carista.

'Ahenners'followed the link and mailed the supplier to confirm that it would work with carista, reply was that it's not compatible. Iff anyone has a link to a Bluetooth one that would definitely work it would be appreciated,it seems like the wifi ones are more suitable.

Does anyone have a list of what changes can be done with the obd/carista,I'm particularly looking for the large speedometer/DRL/Needle sweep/Cornering fog lights.
-
Looks like I will have to get another one, anybody out there using a Bluetooth one that's known to work with carista if so could you post a link so that I'm sure of getting the right one,ta

I have the Bluetooth version and have tried it with just the ignition on and with the engine running and it still says it's defective.Running the torque app it seems to be perfect

Has anybody used the Elm 327 Bluetooth Adapter combined with the Carista app to activate any preferences on there Octavia recently? I have a Elm 327 adapter but the Carista app says it's defective,I guess I must have the cheap Chinese version. Can anyone recommend one that's guaranteed to work. Are they worth it does it work as it's advertised?any comments please.
