Superb iV delivery time - advice
TomR88 replied to TomSW88's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
This is the reason that my order was cancelled. I couldn't afford to wait until 2023 (dealer offered date), so I found an ex demonstrator (Sport line Plus) but no iV model. -
I use Spotify without android auto. I have to remember to close spotify on my phone before i start the car. In the past it used to play the songs no problem but it would only show one song name on headunit, and if i skipped to next song it wouldnt show it.

What a colour!!! Absolutely amazing.

Hi, Welcome to the site. I have had a couple of skoda's in the past (2 x fabia's) before having the Superb and they are worlds apart. The Superb is a fantastic cruiser and by far the quietest and most comfortable car i have ever owned. I have covered just over 20k in 7 months and have loved every trip in it. My car is a lease car so didnt have much choice in engine spec but i went for the SE technology estate which has everything i need. A little more power would be nice when towing but the 150hp diesel goes just fine. I personally havent driven a petrol version so i cant compare. You wont be dissapointed if you get one. Tom

I got 19k out of my set from factory and now they are on Hankook (because its a lease car) but i hve to say i am very impressed with them so far. Havent tried it in the wet yet.

7 months into ownership and 19k later. Still makes me smile.

Hi My car (Superb 2.0 SE technology) is 6 months old with 19k on had the fronts changed 500 miles ago. Unfortunately my car is a lease car and they choose what they want on. however, I now have a set of Hankooks on the front and the difference in noise is remarkable. Not had chance to try them in the wet.

The mudflaps do a great job, especially on farm tracks that i will be using a lot. Dont look much but surprising what a good job they do. And only took 10 mins to fit. Just ordered a protector for boot lip when loading/unloading and some roof bars. Oh and a skoda thermos mug!! -
new mudflaps fitted. Still needs a good clean. but not with 5 inches of snow outside!!! (pics from yesterday)

*Update* After 3 weeks of ownership and some 1500miles later all I can say is it is a fantastic car in every aspect. The colour is really growing on me and even on my travels I still haven't seen any this colour. FInally got mudflaps fitted and really finish the car off. Got my trailer test tomorrow so all ready to go. -

Hi, After a couple of years away from the skoda brand, I have returned. And I am loving it. Having had a Mk2 Skoda Fabia Vrs, I have returned to the brand in the larger Superb. Never had a car which has had only 37 miles on the clock. It is a Skoda Superb 2.0 TDi SE Technology. It has got so many features that I am still getting used to such as the adaptive cruise control and lane departure. Certainly a step up over the Fabia. I chose the business grey and think it suits it perfectly. Will get more photos at the weekend.

Just thought I would say hello and glad to be back on the forum. Having previously had a Skoda Fabia Vrs, I am finally back in a Skoda, albeit a bigger one!! Old Fabia New Superb Thanks

I would like to make my own custom parts but having a 9 month old doesn't give me much free time to do it.
-
Basically I buy them as ready assembled models or code 3 (damaged/modified) and take them apart, repaint, detail interiors and exteriors and rebuild. I do modifications such as mudflaps, lower, paint interiors, add extra small details such as engine parts number plates etc. I like to make them as realistic as possible and what i would do and I go by pictures of the real thing. I have just bought another rs500 and plan to remove front plastic grille and replace with see through mesh, add new intercooler and pipes, detail underneath car and fit new brakes.
-
I can certainly get these models. The m5 in that colour is roughly £120 but there dark blue version you can pay anything between £180 - £220. I have another rs500 which I bought damaged so will probably dismantle or turn into a diorama of some sort. The mk1 and mk2 focus rs are both for sale and had minor tweets to them.

Hi, Thought i would show some pictures of some models i have and some which have been modified to order for some of my friends. I mainly specialise in 1/18 scale models and 1/32 farm vehicles. Please see some pictures of some of the past models I have modified. Let me know what you think. Slight update. Not done a great deal to the car except new brakes and a remap. Brakes up front are 300 mm discs (my 280hp corsa vxr were only 308mm) and we're rather worn. New pads as well. Stops on a sixpence now. Had the car remapped as well. For this engine, the FFV engine, there isn't a great deal to be got out of it. It's 145bhp standard and with a new panel filter and some ecu tweaking managed to extract an extra 17hp. Total now 162bhp. Not too bad but feels a lot more eager now. Bearing in mind this hasn't got a turbo and is 162bhp n/a I don't think it's too bad. The next step may be cosworth cams which should be a direct fit from the fiesta st tuning catalogue. But we will see. Next on the agenda, more sound proofing and new seats.

Been watching my old car on the internet at my local dealer and noticed it has been sold. Anyone on here got it?
