Take them off and get them powder coated. Boom looks good and lasts, done all of mine in kawi green. -

i understand the port and polish but lost with the angle valve job. where's google lol -
Hey peeps. putting a few bit on car (mk1 occy vrs) and hopefully when finished will hit the 280-300 bhp mark. My questions are, i'm putting better con rods in a doner engine im building but wondering about the head. I'm gonna put new oil stem seals in head but will i need to uprate anything else in the head for that power? The other thing is, after searching i realise for this power 6 speed is not worth the hassle. But my gearbox is leaking oil and needs replaced. So was thinking of 5 speed diesel box as i understand theyre stronger but which one or stick with standard vrs as can get the box from the car im getting engine from. Long winded but that is all.
-
I'm only doing gearing oil coz I've had the car since it was 11months old ( 05reg) & never changed box oil. I do engine every year and plugs and fuel filter aswel. Box oil doesn't need changed as often.
-
I'm doing gearbox oil change this fri and engine oil aswel and i'm gonna put motul 3000v in bit costly at £28 for two litres but dam good oil. No doubt some one will have a negative comment to make but the car gets driven hard and it tuned to its full potential by awesome ( standard internals and turbo but all the intercooler work and other bits are done)
