  5. Fitted these the other day for a bit cheese. I need to square it up still but I was surprised at how good the logo is.
  6. Looking at putting a better lump under the bonnet sometime as having a few overheating issues. I see the polo gti engine on Teflon Toms thread 1.4 / 1.6? I'm looking for something really easy and quick to fit. What's the best option guys?
  7. Been bust with the golf lately getting it painted but still happy with the fun. I must admit I'm liking it more than the golf just now:) Have all the new wood cut to size now just need to finish staining it then repaint the bed. Also treated it to some new hoops and shoes.. Took a gamble on these as there pretty phat and did raise a few issues and i wasnt sure on them, but now there on these are the ones il stick with! Pics from the add Trail fit to see what was involved and what size of tyres I would need Was still unsure on them and wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle but stick with the plan. Time for the suttle touch, I had these made to order at the size required. Found the company online the can do any image you like. Very happy how they turned out A little trim neat trim at the back was done, I never liked the shape of the arch before anyway. Took about 10mm off the top and gave it a nice sweep curve. You can never tell still looks stock. Wheel on Pretty chuffed how they turned out. Put some skoda valve caps on now to which I think ties it all in and finished it off. Picked up a spare back plinth and had that colour coded to. Pic from the weekend there
  8. Thanks for liking what I'm doing and leaving comments guys!
  9. If anyone has a spare manifold lying about for sale please let me know Save me changing the engine!
  10. 17" bbs on it now that Iv had sitting as the old ones are getting furbed and tyres... Like them some days and others I don't but for £120 they'll do for now. Few pics Bit max power I know lol
  11. There is a company on eBay doing them. It was to low for my drive the wheel are 15"
  12. Phone 'All Part's' in bonnybridge they have one in with the bars your after.. I don't know their number but if you google them
  13. Heater is fixed, a 36000 mile felicia in the scrappy donated one for £20. Like how easy it was to fit! The rear cover came today courtesy of Leon from on here. I can't recommend him enough.. He was patient with me waiting to get the funds together and Iv got to say the cover is brilliant.. The green piping really finishes it off. Fitted it tonight but no pics yet... Used the pickup on Sunday to take the Mtb out, and after looking at it for a while on how to fit it in it just practically fitted itself couple staps and the forks sit in the rear seat bracket... Stopped on the way back for a couple pictures Also got the hard wood from my mate last week to redo the bed.. I have to cut it to length then stain it and get the bed painted. Going into see the Kirk this week about painting the bed!
  14. Couple photos from the other day Heater fan not working now. Have gearbox mount to change also exhaust is blowing near the manifold but il know more when I get in about it what the cause is... Just enjoying driving it at the moment.. Wood is on its way for the bed so will be good to get that nice
  15. There was a bit in it, it's very smooth and progressive quite torquey for only 75bhp new! I think it's a great engine for dotting about and it's great on fuel!
  16. Heres a pic of where the tempreture gauge sits The middle gauge wasn't working properly I think it's due to the different wheels!!
  17. That's a great reply cheers... I'm pretty sure it's the original cluster. Il try a new housing and stat and see where that takes me. Il get a new sender to.. I new I should have went oem with that stuff! I hate buying things twice
  18. Cheers dohnjoe, I guess the only way to check the part number on the gauge it to strip the clocks? Not sure if I fancy that tbh Nothing's ever easy eh:D
  19. Thanks for the reply mate... The fan kicks in bang on the last line before the red. It runs not far away from that thou. I'm wondering if the stat is not opening early enough? Is there different ones that maybe open at a lower temp? Could a faulty housing cause that to do you know?
  20. Can anyone help me out and tell me where the needle should be on the tempreture gauge during a normal drive? Mine seems to hover around the last thin line before red and the fan kicks in very regularly. I'm convinced its running to hot, although it drives great I'm starting to worry about a head gasket or warped head.... I thought maybe the gauge should run in the thicker middle line? Then rise to fan level if idling. The gauge never worked so I never new where was normal position. Iv replaced the temp sender with one from euro car parts ( I think it was yellow, il double check this) I also replace the thermostat from dingbro motor factors... I would have preferred oem stuff here but I couldn't wait.. If I new more then I would have just ordered a full housing which I might still do... Any help would be great guys
  21. Good to spend some time on detailing it! Parked to take a look
