Think the VRS is being handed back
wesleyuk replied to Ant FR's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
sounds like you got the % flat rate quoted. usually APR % is double of % flat rate. i notice some dealers uses this tactic to fool customers to sign up the finance thinking the APR % is low -

they cant increase the APR after you signed the finance agreement. thats very illegal -
i test drove VW UP ASG. honestly i thought the ASG was fine, very noticeable at first but after 10 mins of driving i forgotten all about it. its NOT that bad as people making out. as long you drive around slowly and its less noticeable . noticeable gear shift at 1/2/ when pulling away, 3/4 is very little noticeable. 4/5 is un-noticeable sure its not the same as my vrs with dsg gearbox. but ASG is probably best automatic gearbox in a city car/single clutch auto would i buy one.....yes i would cos i am very lazy driver

REJECT the car immediately the ONLY fix is a brand new engine. when i had my 2011 vrs from skoda dealership, full skoda service history. it burned some much oil. after about 10 visits to dealership. i got really fed up. they replaced many parts but none of them fixed the oil problem. at the end they gave up and replaced the engine. no oil burn anymore. about 10K miles now. have not top up yet! your car is not from skoda dealership so the chance of you getting a new engine is very slim so REJECT the car immediately. the longer you let the garage to fix, the harder to reject. good luck PS. a litre of oil per 300 miles, that engine is fk'ed! my old engine burned 1.3 litre per 1000km (631miles) accorded to oil consumption test by Skoda

interesting thread no i dont NEED an auto but i'm a lazy driver. i test drove the VW UP! with ASG last sat and found the gear change was very noticeable but i didnt think it would be that BAD as people said. if you drive normal its fine i think i'll get used to it.

i had a cigito morte carlo for 2 weeks when my vrs in garage for new engine fitted. i loved the cigito very much.

i see your point George but brand new elegance with ASG cost £10,300 i think. so £3.3k less for over 3 years old?
