  1. i never had this module in my car, but i've seen it in vw cars and its under the foam cover. it should be easy accessible.
  2. The control unit is located below the right front seat under the floor covering.
  3. yeah, interested in this also but they could be pricey
  4. pinout from rns315 is probably same as rns510... check on this page http://www.my-gti.com/529/volkswagen-rns-510-pin-assignments (section " Multi-pin connector 5, audio and video, 26-pin") to connect after market camera(or any input) to HU you will also need converter like this http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/parts/cvbs-to-rgb-rear-view-camera-2/
  5. vexovex: can you give us part number for this bt module?
  6. well....my car is born with xenon from factory and does not have modul for it unless its different for new cars, mine is MY2014 01-Engine -- Status: OK 0000 03-ABS Brakes -- Status: OK 0000 04-Steering Angle -- Status: OK 0000 08-Auto HVAC -- Status: OK 0000 09-Cent. Elect. -- Status: OK 0000 10-Park/Steer Assist -- Status: OK 0000 15-Airbags -- Status: OK 0000 17-Instruments -- Status: OK 0000 19-CAN Gateway -- Status: OK 0000 25-Immobilizer -- Status: OK 0000 37-Navigation -- Status: OK 0000 44-Steering Assist -- Status: OK 0000 56-Radio -- Status: OK 0000
  7. Comfort module is deprecated(you mean Central Convenience?), i think its all now under Cent. Elect (09) if you have xenon as i do, there is no special setting for it in vcds. as they are low light xenons (luminous flux up to 2,000 lumen) they also do not have self leveling motor, etc...
  8. in my MY2014 it was under byte 12 / bit 0 (if you'll be using VCDS, should be similar byte)
  9. VAG does not put extra wires anywhere. You'll have to run (new) wires from HU
  10. How is the consumption after the remap? edit: uh sorry, you had it today missed it
  11. +1 ...all the info you need is at your fingertips
  12. check for the mic in the overhead light cluster connecting it to rns315 is easy, just two wires and you get qreen quadlock connector with mic
  13. I agree - they after all, work there for money And i've been with my fathers car at the dealers for the radio code (vw golf+ MK6) - before i talked to mtl, that is possible to get the code otherwise..they charged me 12€
  14. it is possible in Slovenia... mtl can confirm it...at least for VW cars...i do not know why Skoda could be different (it is the sam VAG group, same equipment, same procedures, same ecu/bcm units, etc) Maybe UK dealers are just cautious..or ignorant?
  15. - i had swing in my car before and rear parking sensor worked then and now as i have switched the hu with vw rns315 (it is the same as amundsen+) - climate control does not matter as the CAN does not provide info for hu to show - radio codes are available at the dealers...you'll need to tell them vin number and serial of the hu(serial # is available if you read it with vcds)..or just drive to car to them, so they can connect it to the computer - swing could work without vcds coding, but it could show a few errors..eg if the speaker number is different in both cars (4 vs 6), etc
