  2. Na don't fancy gold thanks lol, if it was a scoobie or an old black 1275gt then maybe but not my octavia lol
  3. Hey guys, does anybody of pics of mk2 vrs' with different colour wheels. In particular a black VRS as this is what I have, I currently am thinking about going for black wheels. what do you guys think? cheers steve
  4. Well after umming and ahhing over whether I liked the car enough to keep it or not ( only had it 3 months, hadn't really given it a chance) I have now started to get carried away lol In the last few days I have bought a miltek exhaust with decat and a pipercross filter. Now I will be getting a quantem remap as soon as I have it fitted. [emoji2]
  5. Hmmm I may go for those as they save a considrable amount lol
  6. how about the AP shocks and springs? I have no requirement for height adjust-ability. so no need for coilovers really.
  7. Also no one has said anything about any of the coilovers linked above. Another question, my car is a 2008 2.0T fsi what size is my front strut 50mm or 55mm?
  8. I keep seeing the bilstein/eibach mix being mentioned. Its a bit more than i was planning to spend really, Ideally I wanted to keep it nearer £300 than £500. I'm not exactly going to be using this as a track car it is just my daily drive, but the standard suspension is **** IMO
  9. What do people think of the below? Experiences of any of them? http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/ap-coilover-suspension-kit-octavia-1z-16tdi-18t-si-19tdi-vrs-20t-fsi-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-0903'> http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/apex-rdx-coilover-suspension-kit-octavia-1z-12t-si-14-14t-si-16-16tdi-18t-si-19tdi-20fsi-vrs-20t-fsi-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-0504'> http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/prosport-coilover-suspension-kit-octavia-1z-12t-si-14-14t-si-16-16tdi-18t-si-19tdi-20fsi-vrs-20t-fsi-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-0604'> http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/vmaxx-coilover-suspension-kitoctavia-1z-vrs-20t-fsi-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-0903'> http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/vmaxx-coilover-suspension-kitoctavia-1z-vrs-20t-fsi-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-0903 If anyone bothers to look at all of those I thank you lol Cheers Steve
  10. na if it was diesel I wouldn't be concerned. Its the petrol TFSI, the rock makes it sound like a diesel starting up lol
  11. I have quite excessive engine rock on start up atm. I take it this is down to the dogbone mount yes?
  12. Hmmm looking around more a decent induction kit cost £200. I think I'll give it a miss for now lol. It is not going to make any difference so doesn't really warrent that sort of money. Will buy an arb instead
  13. Started looking into this now, stage 2 is tempting. Where do people get their remaps done around here? Is the revo one whatthe above is based on?
  14. Hi Guys, Looking for opinions/previous experience please. Should i buy an induction kit for the vrs or a K and N/pipercross panel filter for the standard airbox? opinions on both an why would be much appreciated. I should probably add that I am likely to follow this with a cat back system and a remap at some point. Thanks in advance Steve
  15. Back to my mpg, it got a lot better this weekend. Went on a camping holiday with the little one, so the car was full and got 38-40 mpg average all weekend. On the way home did 205 miles on £30 which worked out as 39.4mpg
  16. its not a good looking car lol who cares what it looks like when it will find a gravel trap at some point lol i'm afraid these are the only pics i could gather quickly while at work
  17. i'm going to give it a f***ing good service and see what that does
  18. cheers for the info bud basically ride comfort means jack to me........ my usual car is a classic mini with the stiffness of a rock! it has a vtec up front and solid/poly bushes and mounts everywhere. And i happily drive that every day, until it rains or is cold. because then it is horrible.
  19. Well at least this is reassuring............sort of lol, maybe I should have bought another clio sport instead lol. I got 45mpg on a run and 38 average in that and it was quicker lol oh well remap and some better suspension will make me feel better haha
  20. Being a 6 speed i expected 40 mpg to be easily achieveable on the motorway in this car. Its only doing 2500 revs at 70. Does a remap make a difference?
