Thanks guys..... Rustynuts..999smiler..Sheldon.Cooper So ordered a GPS standalone unit so - here by weeks end - so will stick in in then hopefully all fixed Thanks again.

So Columbus Stock radio/GPS giving satellites but always 0/9 or 0/10 or even 11 or 12. But getting no fix on mode and map no showing where I am at all. But with driving map moves. Thinking its the aerial but thought I'd ask here. Rather than changing out aerial could I install one of the GPS aerials in dash are they any use? Recommend one?

Anyways want to find a reccommended Skoda Vag mechanic before something goes wrong and I end up having to bring it to a main dealer or just a local mechanic. Living in Meath but dont mind if I have to travel so long as mechanic is good and knows his stuff. Thanks in advance folks.

BJM & The Zee thanks lads for the input. Getting the NCT (Irish equivalent) of the mo done in January so will have the car up for sale then so good to buy from the end of January. Hopefully get a superb in good nic with decent milage considering I'm going down the road of a dsg.

Yeah thought that about January. But doubt there would be many in that boat. Was thinking folks would be inclined to trade in for march

So long time reader first time poster. Going to sell me car privately come the new year and hoping to buy a 09/10/11 170 Elegance depending on condition, cost and mileage. What I want to know is with the registrations of cars changing in March would there more likely be a better selection of 2nd hand superbs about then? Any insights would be good. Would be buying cash if that matters.
