  1. Hello Mates, The clutch of my Fabia TDI 2008, is quite hard now and my mechanic said, the clutch is soon going to die.. and I would need a clutch kit replacement.. I just searched around and found a source where two different clutch kits are available, one is Valeo and other is Sachs.. I have read good things about both online, so I am a bit confused.. I know there are lot of experts here, so please help me out Which one is better Valeo or Sachs? I am getting Valeo kit for approx 100 GBP and Sachs kit for approx 150GBP also, my mechanic said, its okay to run the car even if the clutch is hard.. so how to know when is the proper time to change the clutch kit? thanks in advance..
  2. Mods, please point out to me, If I am not allowed to add the link of their site in my above post.. or please edit it for me, if its against the rules.. Thanks
  3. Good news to my Fellas in India.. I just found a guy who gave me a new Remote for 2k INR only (approx 22 GBP) and did the adaptation process of the key for 500 INR ( approx 5 GBP) .. These guys are great and could do anything with the keys.. B) They just took 20-25 mins to do the whole process.. Wish I had found them before and could saved 60 GBP I spent on the key I ordered from Skoda already.. Here is the website to reach out to these guys.. (flipkeys.in)

  6. Finally got the new car key today.. and successfully got the keys from the dash.. whew!! B) I paid 5930 INR (60 GBP) for the blade only.. Remote is still on its way... And the key blade unlock and lock the car.. but it do not crank the car yet, Skoda representative said I need to take the car back to them so that they can code the blade and then I could use the blade to crank it in future.. Now, I think lot of people know how to code a new blade If I have a original key of the car with me.. Kindly help me here please.. Skoda would charge me 1200 INR + Service tax (12 GBP + Tax) for codding the key..
  7. Yeah, get it checked somewhere outside .. And second thing, you would feel it when you are driving if something is wrong or not.. And Like most of the experts says, if its a minor leakage.. then its completly okay.. So, what you can do yourself is.. clean it up well.. and then monitor it everyday to see, if the leakage continues or not? .. if it does.. then I think its time to get a new one.. The best way is to analyze it yourself mate..
  8. Hahaha, yeah, its gonna save lot of fuel and cost :p :p Good thing is no important document was inside , saved me lot of anger and frustration lol..
  9. Just ordered a key using the Chasis number.. and they Skoda representative said, its gonna take 15-20 days.. well thats a long time to wait for the key.. but have to do it anyway.. Guys, always keep the key in your hand , to avoid such situations full of frustrations.. haha  will let you know the exact price and time, once I get the key..
  10. Yeah, The representative at Skoda Service center in my town said, its gonna take 15-20 days, as keys are not manufactured in India and they import from Germany or Czech.. And yeah the price is pretty same here.. they qouted me the price approx - $200(USD) + Tax - which is around 120GBP + Tax

  22. Hey Everyone, I am just 25 and bought a used Skoda Fabia and very happy as comparing to other cars available in the same segment.. I do not earn much, so its going to be a bit costly to my pocket, but I the feeling of driving Skoda is worth it.. I am from India and Skoda is still struglling here because of after sales service and expensive spare parts.. but I think the parts are almost similar to Toyoto India coapring the price, so its not really bad either.. As I am new to Skoda and this is going to be my first car, I joined this forum to learn about things I should know etc and so that I can drive my car the best way it meant to be.. Looking forward to connect with the expert people here.. Thanks
