Which fuel? What capacity?
-
The coil light is the glow plug light. It appears that a new battery was long overdue and now the car is running as it should.

You're relying on the computer figures. Ignore them. Full tank to full tank is the only reliable way to work out MPG.

Nice

Does everyone here run snow tyres?

What's the point? Apart from any excuse to arse about. -
Today I replaced the old tax disc from 12 months ago with the new one I bought online last week, only to find that last year's disc cost £120 and this year's set me back £110! Since when has the cost of taxing a car gone down? I'm not complaining, but it does seem odd.

Is the roof aerial the standard 12" long model that works,or a short stubby aerial or fin that looks "kewl" but doesn't work as an aerial. Form over function every time for the kiddies. -
Worth flushing oil through?
tonto kowalski replied to jamesrbeaumont's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
DO NOT USE ENGINE FLUSH. Not in a PD engine. Not ever.Never. Did I say not to use engine flush? Use oil to 505.01 spec, change every 10k miles or 12 months whichever happens sooner. You can change it more often,if the voices in your head tell you,but always use 505.01 spec. And NEVER use engine flush. -
Wheel spin in damp weather

I think the problem could be with the tyres.Camac are firmly in the "cheap and nasty" end of the tyre quality spectrum. The contact patch is the only interface between the road and the car and the temptation to spend less really is a false economy. I swear by Michelin, but doubtless there will be many who will have their own favourites. -
