My front passenger head light wasn't working as well as others but after a few minutes the drivers side started to work again along with other lights. Any ideas ?? Thanks

charris replied to DGW's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Sorry it's been so long for a update, car has been sorted now I ended up taking it to a private garage Skoda did not offer me a penny. It's cost me £2900 for the work carried out the car is running better than ever. -

Contacted what car with your issue I have today, i emailed watchdog as well last week something needs to be done about it and the more people shout the better it is. There was a technical bulletin which was circulated amongst skoda dealerships on 23rd Aug 2013 highlighting the exact fault we had with our vehicles. -

Well that's a kick in the balls skoda will not offer me any good will and because I brought private I can not pursue the manufacturer in this fault. Any one got a spare £5000 lying around for a new engine block gutted is a understatement. -

Hi everyone Just to add to the list Octavia 59plate VRS 2.0tsi engine only just clocked 30k! Did buy private at 25k. I'm at my parents holiday home so not local and the car does not start, AA have been out to me and it looks very much like the tensioner as everyone has described. I will be transporting the car back up to the midlands tomorrow as I'm in Devon and want to get it to a local garage. Should I go straight to my local skoda garage and see what they say ? I'm not happy at all 30k with fssh and having this problem is ridiculous for a engine so widley used in so many diffarant cars. -

charris replied to charris's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
ok mate sound I'll look into, any advice on cable routing earth points and is it safe enough to come straight off the battery with the power cable as I'm sure I read some where it's not advisable to do that ?? -
Can anyone point me to a form on how people have installed a Sub and amp on there standard Head unit and can it be done before I decide to buy. This would help me out a lot Thanks
