Replacing sidelights with LED bulb...
stevelee replied to alessio92's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
just done mine, think they are 501 bulbs if i remember right. 99p for the pair off fleabay. bulb holder just pulls out of the back of headlight but you may need some long nose pliers to make your life easier. they only work one way round so check they are working before you push them back in the headlight. if not working, just pull em out the bulb holder and turn the bulb 180 degrees and refit and check. -
How does one strip down and rebuild a caliper?
stevelee replied to alessio92's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
you tried pushing piston back with a G clamp? front pistons should just push in. loosen the bleed nipple a little before pushing back. -

i used plumbers gold but picked up the clear. still works as it should, but its harder to see when putting on. smooth it off with a wet finger afterwards. -
thanks mate, yeah im pleased with it, looks a bit high in the pics though, may have to see about getting it a little lower in the future. happy with the performance as well, coming from a mondeo estate 115bhp to this.

Hello, been looking through this forum for the last couple of months to help me buy my first skoda. its a 2005 silver fabia vrs and i'm really pleased with it (only picked it up on sunday), drove back the 80 miles like a dream. needed a mega clean but looking good now. its been remapped, done 112.000 miles, fsh. just needs some decent rubber on the front as its doesnt feel the best in the wet on the cheapo tyres that are on there. ive got the creaky seat syndrome that other people has experienced but looks like a bit of spray should sort that. says the cambelyt was done at 75,000, might change it anyway just for peace of mind. ive already printed out the guide from here. hopefully i wont find too many problems. time will tell. cheers, steve.
