Results of my pd160 intake part pricing investigation
VAGweb replied to VAGweb's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Yeah just had the return call if any dealer is charging £75 or any more than £49 SEAT UK have said you can say to them that £49.40 is the RRP and that is what you should be charged if the dealer refuses or says thats not correct you can ask them to call SEAT UK on 0500 222 222, the case reference number is 115 151. This is for part number 6LL 129 618 -

to be fair, im quite within my right to follow a guide do a job take my own pics and rewrite it. As far as legally goes there is nothing wrong with that. people do it all the time, im sure you may have used some sort of electronic wiring harness information or maybe from a book, maybe you didn't, you wouldve learnt the vagcom bits from somewhere etc, but you wouldn't have creditted the developers who also may have spent hours on that product. people always learn stuff from various sources and re-use it of course if its written word it cannot be a direct copy by law, right down to students at uni learning and learning from books. With a few minor bits that need altering to make sure all of it is different from your guide, the only issue is that of a moral one in that i shouldnt write my own version of your guide based on my own experience's of actually doing it following your guide, simply because you figured out how to do it in the first place? but your info is very good and i respect you, it allowed me to fit cruise control to the car which is why im trying to sort it out rather than altering some bits so im legally 100% safe and leaving it there, regardless. i would still like a copy wether thats all yours with full credit, or mine again with full credit, mainly for puposes that i explained earlier, reliability in that it will always be there, and continuaty in that all of my tutorials are hosted on the website. Now, i think a full link to your website in the guide with credit, is neither, trying to pass it on as my own work, and is acting in common ground of supporting each others websites?

wasn't aimed at you buddy, more earlier postings on pg1 and 2. id like to consider myself a decent bloke, i spend a lot of time rewriting stuff such as news stories on the front pages so not to pi$$ on anyones doorstep. i also spent a lot of time doing the said job in this thread, taking my own pics and writing it up in my own words. I copied just a few lines from the original guide and for that have pretty much persecuted on here, god knows what damage its done to my forum and iv tried my best to sort it out. personally i would say i'v had a rougher deal than stu has had from me copying those few lines

if people (not stu), would've learnt that it is largely our own guide apart from a couple of paragraphs, instead of jumping on bangwagons this wouldve been sorted in far less posts and in a far more adult manner. instead we have people saying, "change the images to an ****" etc. This shows people have not even tried to understand the extent as to the content that actually has been copied, otherwise they would realise we took all the pics and are hosted on our site. but thats forums for you, i run one i know what they are like. i apologise to stu for the few paragraphs we copied. i will change this tomorrow and am happy to discuss, publicy or privately an amenity to the websites.
