  1. Glad to hear from the latest owner via this forum that the truck is still alive, I got worried for a while as it was without MOT and tax for a while! I'm sure they may post on here, else I'll be sure to repost via the @europickups Instagram.
  2. Just thought I'd tidy up my forum activity, I am nosey enough to always wonder when someone is dormant on a forum "what happend next/ what did they buy". Well good news, if you too are nosey.... please see pistonheads thread here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=47&t=1833568
  3. May even be longer that that! Seems I only get notifications if I'm @. Afraid I can't help as never did go the air route, think it's almost 3 years to the day since I sold that truck now, time has flown! Does seem that all kits are custom or homemade however.
  4. 19" BBS CK's fitted, makes a massive difference!
  5. Think you may have misinterpreted rainbow fires post slightly Ricardo, they were just pointing out that the mileage isn't representative of the usuage (although it does look mint!) Let's forget it and all stay friends as I can just see this being blown out if proportion again!
  6. I saw this on eBay when it it first appeared about 2 months ago, believe it sold for £2000 (unless it was removed for some reason or another). I can't see in the link what it's now being auctioned for? Incredible condition, but those mods are quite significant, it would be quite costly and a shame for it not to stay as an icecream van!
  7. Normally the switches only burned out if they have been held temporarily in the half way position between on and off. Your problem sounds a bit different. Have you checked the fuse box for water? Common place for electrical gremlins in these cars. There's a chance your replacement switch was faulty too but be worth Investigating all possibilitys before buying another!
  8. 4wd belt driven. If I have one criticism of it actually it's the fact being marketed as a more entry level and child friendly brand it could do with a better belt design. There's a reason it's the only belt driven entry-level brushless... Belts really are for carpet racing! Small stones/dirt get under the rear belt and it has a habit of chewing through them relatively often (at £12 a belt :l ).
  9. Thought I'd join in this thread, always loved my RC stuff but never made the time to join a club or anything, so always just tinkered and messed around in carparks or the close. It's only a Hpi sprint 2 flux but it's pretty tough and plenty quick enough for what I need! Quite versatile as it drifts OK too. Had a bit of clearcut so I'm down to 1 chassis and 8 shells for 1:10 but here's my favorites: (BTW if anyone has a Kyosho Laguna or any other BTCC /DTM/Touring shell for not stupid money count me interesed )
  10. The rear of that R34 though [emoji7] [emoji108]
  11. I believe some guys on the Skoda Pickup and Vw mk2 caddy pickup Facebook page were having the same issues, don't believe they ever found a solution other than buying up plenty of new sumps when Eurocarparts had a sale on! I mean anythings possible with enough time /money, but if you are going to mess around to that extent you might as well do an engine conversion!
  12. Now Sold :( Sad to see it go, but it's gone to a good home to be used for local miles and advertising truck for a independent garage in Yeovil. The new owner may even pop up on here sometime in the future to continue the legacy
  13. Now Sold Admins please delete thread as I can't work out how to on tapatalk!
  14. Windscreen sealed, all painted, stickered and interior refitted. Now on ebay, and I'm also chucking in the Pioneer DVD with aux flip out head unit.
  15. Update on photos, as it currently is. All painted, sticker section replaced. Windscreen leak fixed, interior all in (I had the carpets out for about 6 months so they weren't damaged whilst I fixed the leak) Now just to write the eBay advert
  16. According to the top gear magazine I'm just reading: Incredible cars both of them! But I still love the looks of an R34
  17. Great thread you've put together Riccardo , I'm sure it'll be really useful to a lot of people. I would have loved to contribute as I think I'd read somewhere there's something like 3 types of white for the Skoda pickup . However I've since discovered mine was repainted in Citroen Alpine white on the top and then the obvious addition of a similar to VW camper orange for the bottom half so not much use to this thread! I will see if I can find the original paint code out of interest though, as I believe under the bonnet and inside is still the original white ...
  18. Any more recent acquisitions? I'm always amazed by the detail on some of these 1:18 models. I've recently decided I'm going to start a 1:43 collection of any car I have previously or currently owned, thought it seems less expensive if you build it as you go along ( I've only got two to get so far!) Means I'm going to need to do some modifying to an Abrex pickup... Are aftermarket 1:43 alloys readily available?
  19. The shock mounts may look surface, but has most likely come through from other side. Common rust point. You may want to look at it before this happens: I had a quarter panel repaired last week, worth doing early as want to save as much as possible as there are no new panels for anything beyond the cab. You are correct it's to do with the hatchback structure underneath that causes the issue, my welder was explaining it to me. Always a compromise building a pickup on a hatchback platform!
  20. Glad you are getting rid of the load liner, that probably caused most of the rust in the load bed to start!
  21. That is truly a remarkable recovery from your start! Very impressive, well done!
  22. Got a little bit if orange on there now Not everyone will like it or notice it but it means something to those in the know Pressed plates look good too!
  23. 12 months MOT added New rear tyre , wheel bearing and wipers. See build thread for more detail
  24. thanks, and thanks for the picture! It's got a tow bar and 1000kg braked towing limit - surely that's enough for your citigo track car
